FUN HOME While most of Chicago has been anticipating the arrival of a certain singing, dancing and rapping Treasury Secretary this autumn, true theater fans have been looking forward to another Broadway musical hitting the Windy City for the first time. Based on Alison Bechdel’s bestselling graphic memoir, Fun Home is the 2015 Tony-winning Best Musical that introduces us to the author at three different ages, as she explores and unravels the many mysteries of her childhood that connect with her in surprising new ways. Filled with warm moments and unforgettable melodies, for many theatergoers, this is the Broadway event of the year in Chicago. Fun Home continues its brief run this week at the Oriental Theatre, 24 W. Randolph. Tickets ($27-$92) are available at 312.977.1700 or broadwayinchicago.com.
