ON THE COVER MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! During the holidays Chicagoland is a winter wonderland. From the Mag Mile to Lake Shore Drive; from the Lincoln Park Zoo to the Morton Arboretum; the trees are all aglow. The Lincoln Park Zoo (2001 N. FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT HOME AND STUDIO The complex served as early 20th-century architect Wright’s private residence, studio, and architectural laboratory during the first 20 years of his career. Snowshoeing at Northerly Island

Chicago’s unofficial “official” Santa resides, not surprisingly, beneath the city’s grand Christmas tree in the Santa House in Daley Plaza. A German tradition for generations, Pickle in the Pine is a holiday mainstay at The Berghoff.
