THE

TENGAI

The gate whrer infinite peoples’ asymptotes meet Haneda intl. airport

CONCEPT “KEN MA” the consciousness and cognition of the In-between spaces and joining the infinite asymptotes KEN, tends for kenchiku, is a term that describes the architecture of both space and place and reflects the enclosure MA is a term that describes the negative or in between spaces not for the traditional physical 3D Space.

Philoshphy It stems from the rules of life, complementary elements, sprit and body, tangible and intangible. The Japanese Culture is known to be based on the contradictions of (IN BETWEENS). Thus, such an identity will ever be present in their life, and the meaning of enriching the living experience in their beliefs and faith, those all are the meaning of infinite asymptotes. So, all the stated meanings refiect both of simplicity and depth in all aspects of the Japanese culture. That is why, the philosophy stemmed from the eternity of cultural beliefs and amenities. Architecture wise, those beliefs perform along the main three aspects: Symbolism, Revivalism, and Functionalism. Together, these aspects are re-framing and redefining the approach of the Minimalism.

Evolution Of Mass Referring to the philosophy of Minimalism, it can be architecturally represented by primitives. Whilst the Japanese architecture elements are much simple to be represented in a few lines, thus, Cuboid element will be chosen to be the mainstream of starting the design process of the terminal.

Mathematical advances representation of Minimal (IN BETWEEN) space: Following Schwarz D Surface / ‘diamond’ because it has two intertwined congruent labyrinths, each having the shape of an infiated tubular version of the diamond bond structure. It was represented and re-assembled from the elliptical integral representation form, and it can be approximated by the implicit surface. Furthermore, the following architectural meanings have been also interpreted mathematically via Formulas comparative topological transformation of the D surface such as; Rhythm, which is interpreted by modifying the range of formula frequency Datum, which is interpreted by modifying the main Curves Asymptotes and its frequent range Spatial Hierarchy, which is interpreted by Inversing the domains of equation parameters u,v,w Continuity and infinity ,which is interpreted by finding the Asymptotes values .

Platonia

A stimulated SEED of compact city Generosity, more than an immersed object

CONCEPT Living inside a hyper-Space, through a set of infinite ecological realms above the existing city horizon. This statement guides the thoughts to think about the existing 2D modular Pixel grid of Alexandria, and the applicability of the 3D transformation in to Volume+Pixel (Voxel) where can be flexible through the 4D time. Subsequently, Creating a 5D Social Space, and achieving a new trend of Urban Morphology to be a ( Voxel of the city) rather than (Image of the City).

Project Hypothesis Nowadays, Alexandria is considered one of the most Egyptian crowded cities, it suffers from a continual increasing of population density. Eventually, the exponential rate of this increasing causes many harmful effects, and cuts pattern of the existing Alexandria’s Image of the city. Thus, the initiative approach of the theme “Alexandria as a Green City” aims at cutting edges of the overall breakthroughs of urban infill pattern, and THINKING THE UNTHINKABLE. Though, many proposed projects are provided to be feasible and reasonable, they are not able to face the invasion of the overpopulation. So, what about the image of the city by 2067, moreover, 2100? It is hypothesized that, keeping the existing image of the Alexandria city and the original pattern without any change, and looking for the nature – the sea, beyond the imprisoning inside the informal movement of slums, and over-height buildings, and too, the crowded city.

Transportation Network

Following the concept of urban vectors representation City grid represented by a set of 3D Axis those are embodying cubical-platonical units of the Neighbourhoods

Unlike the original concept of city’s green belts, the vertical and spatial green belts are wrapping around each Cubical, that protect and enhance the overall built-environment and functional division

Structure Grid

Each Cubical mesh grid rests on a 4 massive core Piers, and each pier evolved circulation elements, energy barrels, MEP, and the vertical farms are wrapping around it. They can be released from their sinkers while fioatin

11

This practice is producing food and medicine in vertically stacked layers, Wrapped around the Cuboid Structural Piers. where all environmental factors can be controlled.

Transportation Networks are divided in to main 3 Categories: Cat. 1: Sonic jet around the Platonia to be connected to another Cat. 2: Internal Spatial Pods between the Cubicles Cat. 3: Grid Pods those can serve each cubical individually

Lighting Clefts

Lighting clefts are formed inside the cuboids by the margins around each cubical, those are allowing the maximum daylighting to enter into the cuboid depth. Enlightening the whole neighbourhoods.

The

Creek Pearl A stimulated SEED of compact city Generosity, more than an immersed object

Breif The main objective is to design an Iconic mosque to meet the ambitious features of Dubai Creek City, such city –besides being an extension of Dubai as a cosmopolitan city- aims to achieve unprecedented goals in mixed use activities.

CONCEPT The design expresses the ambitious characteristics of the city in parallel with the values of Islamic religion, and to achieve such qualities the design embraces definite criteria which is unity, diversity, celebration, elegance and beauty.

Philosophy Such a sophisticated building must not make people feel averse. So maintaining a balance between sophistication and familiarity is a must in order to meet the characters of modern cities and the greatness of Islamic religion as well.

CO ORD INATION We benefit greatly from the BIM technology by fully modeling the systems in terms of the generic shape and paths, as well as the complete data and providing models that can be used later to predict the attitude of the building and the systems inside it greatly. Also coordination of engineering works between different disciplins between HVAC systems, electrical pathways, ,firefighting systems, alarms, fluid feeding and drainage. Also, full coordination with the architectural and construction works and providing solutions for each department to resolve the clashes and overlap between the systems and each other
