The idea for Julian Alps Trail Run grew from our love for running and nature and by wanting to spend more unique moments with fellow runners. We couldn't be more thankful and proud that so many of you share our vision and have chosen our race for your incredible trail running adventure. You only need to fill out the form if you chose a BUS transport during registrations There is no need to fill out this form if you have your own transport to the start If you have your own transport to the start, you can choose your start group freely, without filling out any forms
If you don't fill out the form until September 7th until 9 P M , you'll automatically start in the second group Mandatory gear
Please note that mandatory gear is there for your safety in case you get injured and as weather conditions in high mountains can quickly change Mandatory gear can be checked at the start, any time during the race and after the race.

Registrations
Please note that 170 km, 100 km, 60 km and 30 km races start in our other destinations and then finish in Kranjska Gora 10 km and 15 km races are looped routes around Kranjska Gora Race briefing There will be a technical race briefing before each start Showers Showers will be available in Vitranc Hall after the race.
You can pick up your BIB number and start package in Vitranc Hall in Kranjska Gora with a valid ID If you ' re also picking up a start package for your friend, please note that you'll need a copy of their ID and their signed statement of liability
Bus info You'll be able to board the bus to the start ONLY if you booked it during your registration Gathering for buses is right next to Vitranc Hall in Kranjska Gora
Please note that buses take you to your start point and then you finish your race in Kranjska Gora there will be no organised buses from the finish line back to the start Check out the time of your bus departure and make sure you arrive early enough Don’t forget your BIB! You will not be able to board the bus and start your race without the BIB number ;) 30 km start info Our Sky Race will start in two groups this year, which means there will also be two bus departures

METEO
The climate of Kranjska Gora is moderately continental, characterized by cold winters, with temperatures often below freezing, and mild or pleasantly warm summers
The average minimum temperature (usually the minimum temperature is noted during the night) in Kranjska Gora in September is 8.0°C. The amount of rain in September averages at 94mm It rains on average a total of 10 days The average maximum daytime temperature lies around 20.0°C. Kranjska Gora usually gets approximately 179 hours of sunshine during the whole month of September.
Make sure you follow our announcements during race week, as we reserve the right to adjust the course/time limits in case of any extreme weather conditions Runners, participating in 30 km, 60 km, 100 km and 170 km: In case of bad weather temperatures during the day in higher mountains can be between 0 10°C and around 0°C during the night Make sure you are prepared, so that you can keep warm in the mountains
The organizer does not accept liability for any damage made to running gear. Should the route marking be defficient or missing, runners have to report it at the nearest check point. All runners must carry the mandatory gear All runners must follow the marked path
RACE RU Each runner competes at their own responsibility. By paying the registration fee and signing the registration form, the participants accept the terms and conditions and agree to take part at their own risk (Parents or caregivers accept this responsibility for underage runners by signing the registration form )
Failure to follow the marked trail and use of shortcuts (the trail has marked and hidden checkpoints). Each runner must be recorded at all checkpoints. Penalty for missing a checkpoint is 5 hours Incomplete mandatory gear (organizer may at any time verify if runners have all the mandatory gear). Each runner must have and must show the mandatory equipment when asked to do so Penalty for incomplete mandatory gear is 1 hour for every missing part. If you do not show the equipment, you are disqualified Using shortcuts, not following the marked path, coming to a check point or station from the wrong direction results in at least one hour penalty for each irregularity. Using transport during the race disqualification Insulting the organizer or volunteers disqualification. Failing to help a fellow runner in distress disqualification Proceeding after the time limit disqualification. Disqualification or penalty can be immediate or upon detection of the irregularity
The organizer does not accept liability for any damage or injury made by the competitors to themselves, to other competitors or to a third person We do not return the paid fees
The signing of registration forms will take place at the registration service at the same time as the race number pick up Runners must be in good physical shape. The race will take place in all weather conditions, unless the safety of the runners is at risk (extreme storm ) In such case the organizing committee will decide upon a back up trail, backup parts of the trail or complete cancellation of the race Due to difficulty of the race, runners under the age of 18 cannot take part in 30, 60, 100 km and 100 miles distances The trail will be well marked (strips, plates, flags …). The race staff and volunteers will be present at key points in order to direct the runners
Any use of shortcuts and running out of the marked trail will be punished with immediate disqualification In case you don’t see any route markings for more than 200 meters, go back to the last marking and re check the possibility of continuing Distance and name changes are possible only until September 5th 2022 After this date, changes will only be possible at the event in Kranjska Gora (in Vitranc Hall) with an additional fee of 10 (if you wish to change to a longer distance, there will also be an additional payment in the difference of the registration fee)

COURSE MARKINGS GETTING LOST
All routes will be very well marked with a variety of reflective flags, tape and some temporary arrow signs at crucial crossroads
Example of a course marking: If you don't see a course marking for more than 200 meters, you are most likely off course we recommend you go backwards until you see our course markings again and then continue on course. We strongly recommend you load GPX tracks on your watch or use a GPS app should yourself off the course or there is a sabotage on the course GPS
BIB NUM
Your BIB number must be worn at the front. There will be 16 time check points at the 170 km course and 12 time check points at the 100 km course. Time check points at all distances will be marked with cones and you will have to run through those points with your BIB number worn at the front, so your time can be marked accurately. Should you not pass through all time check points correctly (which means you will be missing a check point), this will result in disqualification.

All those, shooting for an absolute win, make sure you sign up for the first group, as it will count who crosses the finish line first. For everything else, there is no need to worry, as times from the start to the finish line (i.e. the time you spend on the trails) will count for everything else, including age group classification, so you can freely start in the second group

If you ' re coming to Žirovnica to start 60 km with your own transport, your driver can drop you off at the start, but it's not possible to park directly at the start. irovnica is a small town with narrow streets, so please only park at the marked areas.
Parkings at Planina pod Golico are extremely limited, so make sure you only park at the marked sections, so you don't disturb the traffic.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT MOBILITY DURING RACE WEEKEND: Please don't try to drive by car right to Vitranc Hall, as that parking will be closed during the event. You can use the parking next to the Ski Centre, which is marked on the map.
Runners, who registered for Sky Race, Sky Trail, Ultra Sky Trail and Ultra Trail Julian Alps will take a bus to the start area. All buses will depart from Vitranc Hall. There is no need to fill out this form if you have your own transport to the start. If you have your own transport to the start, you can choose your start group freely, without filling out any forms. If you don't fill out the form until September 7th until 9 P.M., you will automatically be selected to start in the second group
Runners at our longest two distances will receive 2 transition bags (Ultra Trail Julian Alps) or 1 transition bag (Ultra Sky Trail) in their start package. You can drop off your transition bag when you pick up your BIB or right before going to the start by bus. You can drop them off at registration in Vitranc Hall.
Each of your deposited bags should be equipped with a sticker, that has your BIB number written on it. That way your stuff won't get lost and you'll be able to reclaim your bags back in Vitranc Hall.
TRANSITION BAGS AND START BAGS
Ultra Sky Trail runners have one (1) transition bag available in Žirovnica. Ultra Trail Julian Alps runners have two (2) transition bags available one for Soriška planina and one for Žirovnica. All runners, taking a bus to the start outside Kranjska Gora, will also receive a small plastic bag. Small bags will come handy at the start when you arrive, you can pack any excess stuff/gear/clothes that you don’t need in the race and we'll transport it back to Vitranc Hall in Kranjska Gora, where you can reclaim it with your BIB number after the race. We will transport only the bags provided by us, so don’t try to bring any of yours, as they will not be transported. And please, don’t put your walking poles in it because not only it is against the rules, but they could be easily broken
