Apply Oils to Your Scalp Your hair and scalp still need nourishment. Work natural oils beneath the weave onto your scalp and massage them in. If the weave is made of human hair, getting a little product on it won’t hurt it, but synthetic hair doesn’t require additional products, so you’ll have to be careful not to get oils on it.
Stay Loose
Beneath Your Tracks:
Prepare Your Hair and Scalp Get your hair in good shape before adding extensions. Take a break from the weakening chemicals in curl relaxers or dyes to get a head start in avoiding breakage. Make sure your hair is clean, well conditioned, and free of buildup from dead skin cells and styling products like hairspray. These can cause dryness, flaking, and itching. If your scalp is dry and flaky, use a medicated shampoo that contains zinc pyrithione or selenium sulfide, concentrating the suds on your scalp. Leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse out. Then wash once more with regular shampoo and condition. Do this once a week for 4 weeks. If you’re still seeing flakes, visit a dermatologist before getting extensions. You may have seborrheic dermatitis, which can be harder to get under control when you have extensions.
The biggest mistake that women make with extensions is wearing them too tight. This puts a lot of tension on the hair follicles, which can make your hair fall out. At worst, it can contribute permanent . Getting extensions should not be painful or cause headaches. If it does, they’re too snug. Speak up! Ask your stylist to loosen them before continuing. Clip-ins are the least damaging extensions because they can be removed quickly and require little to no glue or braiding. But they can cause hair breakage if they pull or snag your hair, so put them in loosely.
Don’t Skimp on Shampooing Gently shampoo at least once a week to keep your scalp at its healthiest. This reduces the buildup of product used for styling your extensions and dead skin cells. If you wear clip-in extensions, remove them first. Clean and dry them separately before reattaching. If your weave or extensions are sewn, bonded, or glued into your hair, separate your natural hair from them as best you can. Then wash, rinse, and condition your real hair separately from your faux hair. Towel-dry gently before you comb through or blow-dry.
Salon Pro System
Don’t Overdo It Even if they still look neat and polished, don’t wear hair extensions for more than 6 weeks at a time. Weaves should be removed to allow for a thorough cleaning of the scalp and deep conditioning of the hair.
Take Care When Taking Extensions Out The glue used to secure hair extensions to your head contains chemicals that can cause hair loss. If bonding glue is absolutely necessary, use bonding glue remover not only to take out the extensions but, more importantly, to ensure no glue remains in the hair. Any remaining glue can adhere to hair and become nearly impossible to remove without losing hair in the process. If your hairline or scalp itches after your weave is removed, you may have an allergic reaction. Formaldehyde is used to preserve hair weaves, and it sometimes causes irritation. See a dermatologist. They can treat an itchy or irritated scalp.
Give Your Hair a Break Forgo extensions for a few weeks while you baby your hair and scalp to give it a break. Switch to a hairdo that puts less stress on your hair. Then you can put the extensions back into healthy hair.

For Wavy Hair Use duck bill clips on the crown of your head to lift top curls. To properly position curls, open clip no more than a half-inch to inch wide. Gently slide clip along scalp and keep it as close to root as possible. Position clips to lift the hair evenly across the crown, working from front to back. Allow hair to dry and then remove. Let hair air dry or use a hair dryer on low heat with a diffuser. Use lighter styling products such as a mousse, like the PlayCurl Foam, to help give curls volume without weighing them down

To enhance waves once they are dry, rub a little shine serum into the palm of your hands and smooth over your hair gently. This will add a sheen and tame any stray fly-aways. Frizz- Ease

MARY KAY COSMETICS
The red lip look is classic and iconic. It’s all about drama and confidence.
1. Apply Lip primer to entire lip area, extending it just outside your natural lip line. This helps to prevent feathering or bleeding. Allow to dry.
2. Apply Clear lip liner to natural lip line. You can fill in the entire lip to help lip color last longer. Clear lip liner is perfect for bold lip colors because it works with any lip color and helps to keep it from bleeding. Dark lip liners can end up making lip lines looking overdrawn or obvious.
3. Apply red lipstick with a brush, starting in the middle of the lower lip and
slowly working out toward the outer edges. You can use the Mary Kay® Cream Eye/Concealer Brush†, but remember to never use this brush with eye product without washing first. 4. Gently blot with a tissue and repeat application of lipstick. 5. Finish with a clear lip gloss, like Mary Kay NouriShine Plus® Lip Gloss in Icicle, just to the middle of lips. Applying gloss over entire lip can cause the color to bleed outside the corners of the lip. 6. Clean any stray or crooked edges with a cotton swab and makeup remover.

Facial Highlighting Pen and Concealer To Perfect your flawless face to appear its most youthful. Start by lifting away shadows and concealing imperfections. Facial Highlighting Pen vs. Concealer
A highlighting pen illuminates or draws an area or feature forward on the face. Concealer is best for covering scars and blemishes. Apply the Mary Kay Facial Highlighting Pen to shadowy areas of the face, then blend with your finger or a sponge to help your face look brighter and instantly more radiant.
For puffy eyes, apply just below the puffy area, only highlighting the shadow under the puffiness (not the puffy area) to “lift it and make the area appear more flat. Then use your ring finger to lightly pat the edges to blend.
For shadowy areas, apply to inner corners of eyes, outer edge of the nose and under the lower lip. The Red Lip Look
Facial Highlighting Pen vs. Concealer Apply Mary Kay® Concealer with the Mary Kay® Cream Eye Color/Concealer Brush*,A sponge or your finger to cover blemishes, scars or uneven skin tone. With a sponge or finger, use a dabbing motion, instead of a swiping motion, to prevent removing concealer. With a brush, use small strokes. For age spots, blend concealer in with your natural skin tone by concentrating it only on the discolored area. Apply it to the dark area only and gently pat with your finger to blend. For dark circles under the eye, apply concealer at the edge of the dark area and extend up. Never go below the dark area or you’ll lighten the skin you’re trying to match.
Be sure to include the inside corner of the eyes and eyelids if necessary. For serious dark circles, you can use a concealer one or two shades lighter than your skin’s natural tone. For blemishes, apply a light “veil” of concealer directly to the blemish and use your ring finger to lightly pat around the edges to blend. Add a second layer if needed. For scars, apply foundation primer to the scar area and follow with a light dusting of powder. Then apply concealer directly to scar and pat the edges with your finger to blend. Finish with another light dusting of powder to set.

“Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the belief that she is beautiful.” —Sophia Loren
THE UNIBROW Eyebrows are generally referred to in the plural because men are supposed to have two. So, for those unlucky owners of a continuous unibrow, it’s time to do some division. Such division should be done by removing the bridge that connects the left and right eyebrows, no matter how thin or dense that thatch may be. • Amount Of Space: The amount of space between eyebrows should be roughly the width of a thumbprint. That’s right, we’re saying you should stand in front of a mirror and press your thumb in the area above your nose. If the thumb hits any hair… keep reading. • How To Remove: To remove unwanted hairs, use a quality tweezers to grasp hairs at their base and pull in the direction of hair growth. Pull quickly, but with exactness, making certain to not leave any stragglers behind. A longer-term solution is to use an athome waxing kit or to visit a reputable spa. While not as offensive as the unibrow, excess eyebrow fuzziness is certainly a faux pas worthy of addressing.
Such fur needs to be trimmed down to size on an ongoing basis, and such trimming can be done easily with proper facial scissors (just clip the outlying stragglers while looking in the mirror) or a lot of tweezer plucking around the edges. A salon or spa is also an option for a professional trimming.
Men’s Grooming
NOSE HAIR If your nose looks like a party favor when you sneeze, immediate nose hair removal is a priority. To eliminate unsightly hairs that extend below the nostril: • Use A Targeted Trimmer: Be it electric or manual, a targeted nose hair trimmer should be used weekly to clear excess brush. Simply push that sucker into each nostril and work it around the edges until trimming is complete. Make certain to brush or rinse clean said nose cleaning tool after each use. There will always be some hair that remains inside the beak, and as long as it’s not visible to anyone other than Verne Troyer, all is good. • Blunt: If feeling a little daring, remove excess hair with a pair of blunt-end scissors.
This method requires a bit more carefulness, but can be safe and effective when manipulating the nose diagonally and only trimming those protruding follicles.
EAR HAIR The silent killer, most men aren’t even aware when they have it. Whether around the lobe or inside the ear, it’s simply gotta’ go. A guy’s best bet for removal is to purchase a quality trimmer and run it around the top and inside of those flappers. Then, carefully use a cotton swab to get trimmed strands out of there. Now ear this!

Shaving tips Do — Trim armpit hair Most men have hair under their arms and women expect and accept it. This doesn’t mean that you should let your armpit hair turn into an unkempt jungle, though. Keep your underarm hair trimmed to a reasonable length. It will not only look better this way, but you’ll also notice that you’ll sweat less and therefore smell better.
Don't — Shave armpits bare As stated above, women expect to see hair beneath a man’s arms. It’s probably not going to be the first thing she notices, but she’ll eventually realize that you have no hair under your arms and she’s bound to question your masculinity because of it.
Don't — Go Brazilian or bare everywhere It might be OK once in a while for something different, but a man who constantly removes every hair from his genital area will be seen by women as either sexobsessed or incredibly vain. The only men who should ever consider going completely hairless over their entire bodies are competitive bikers or swimmers. If it’s not done for the purposes of increased speed, it’s just kind of weird. If you do plan to get rid of the hair on your torso and genitals, you might as well go all the way and shave your legs too (two hairy stalks under your smooth, shaved body would look ridiculous).
What’s all the fuss about? First thing is first, Identify your face shape.
This helps determine what eyebrow shape is flattering to you
Use a brow pencil close to your hair color
Fill in area with light strokes
Use concealer lighter than your skin complexion
Don’t forget to blend concealer down towards your eye
“The most important thing to remember is that you can wear all the greatest clothes and all the greatest shoes, but you’ve got to have a good spirit on the inside. That’s what’s really going to make you look like you’re ready to rock the world.” —Alicia Keys
Coordinator and Main Photographer: Joy Stroube Seven Deadly Sins.... The concept began with the idea of the seven deadly sins and developed as I thought about deception. In the wild, the most dangerous or venomous animals are often masked by vibrant colors, which is why I wanted my sins to have that element. I also thought about people who deceive often wear a mask; not a literal one, but one deep within them, which is why the models all have masks made from their makeup rather than having them put on an actual mask, because that would be too obvious. Eventually, I thought about twin sins. Having two models for each sin would ensure that they could act out their wrath, lust or any of their other sins with their twin
