The Mission
PFGC IS TAKING THE 352 REGION BY FORCE Implenting new strategies and tactics to reap a Full Harvest in every community BY KHALID SNOWDEN
Drs. Bernard and Lillie Tuggerson makes new moves in the ministry for 2012.
Senior Pastors of PFGC in Ocala, Florida are reconstructing the ministry departments for the new year. The theme for 2012 is “Shaping Up with Divine Order.” This strategic vision is going to bring outstanding results for the ministry and for the people. “This is a year of order, and I am even getting somethings in order in my personal life. For one, getting more rest is essential for me,” Pastor Lillie Tuggerson explained. This is a vision that is not just going on at PFGC but many churches are connected to this direction. I
n past years Christians distanced their selves from the likes of unbelievers and though we all must be careful who we are in counsel with according to Psalm 26:4-5, it seemed as if we as believers became distant because of pre-judgment and stereotypical perceptions. These biases kept us from escorting souls into the Kingdom of God. Truth is many unbelievers are people who are looking for hope, a reason to press on everyday knowing one day they’ll have freedom from the bondage they cannot free themselves from. This is what I learned after visiting the Outreach Ministry Mission one Saturday. I had seen people who came to meet Truth at their door steps and in their neighborhoods. Sure, there were ones who carried on that fear of change and even pre-judged us before talking with us but many came to meet Jesus Christ for liberty, peace, healing, and love in their lives and in their community. Listening to Pastor Lillie Tuggerson discuss the achievements of the Outreach Ministry, she explained the way it used to be done when she first came into evangelism. “When I first started out, many years ago, we use to go in the streets preaching repent! Then, we would leave the community. We would never stay long enough to see a change in the people. But now it’s different, God has placed a different anointing in the ministry leaders and has given them clear instructions on how to evangelize then watched the transformation in the neighborhoods and it’s awesome! We have won souls and made new friends” she explained. The Outreach Ministry Lead minister, Maria Mathis, stated, “Not only is we going to reach people regionally but globally. And we’re going to do it through love and kindness like Jesus did.”
