01 Exhibition, conservation & research animal center PLACEMAKING: NAM CAT TIEN NATIONAL PARK Graduation project | Bachelor of Architectural Studies | Individual | 2019 The whole project is the desire to design a true modern center of animal display - research and protection, beyond that of plants and ecosystems for the future. The whole center are mixed function and typical included 6 thematics, research - training zone, specialized library, discovery center, animal special care areas...The idea is to regenerate Inheriting and recreating the function as well as developing the whole center in a new way of interaction: Zoo is a form of "keeping animals" and "releasing people". Safari is a form of semi-wild "confine people", "release animals" in an area with suitable natural conditions but still inside closed area. zootopia is a new form that the project aims to, that is "people" and

"animal" can live in harmony with each other but still have the appropriate safety and separation. Changing the thinking of exhibiting from "please don't touch objects" to encouraging "touching objects".The form of the center is more friendly to nature as well as minimizing the influence of the building itself on the location where the building is located. 02 Mai Aunt’s House SMALL BUT IT’S A “FULL HOUSE” Tien Phat So Tam Company | with Partner | 2020 Location: Binh Thanh district Area: 130m2 Year: 2020 Scope: Design, draft & collaborate with An Vien interior solution Manufacturers: Autodesk Revit, Lumion, Adobe Photoshop, Inax, MyKolor, Xingfa, Thanh Thuy Wood This construction project occupies a small site 4x8m hemmed in by other residences in the residential area called Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh city. This area is very near the city center, convenient place to go to work. However, this is the old residential area, the alley is very narrow, less than 2m, with a dense building density, low drainage. The owner of the house are mother and son, with the desire to have a living space full of natural light and ventilation. The limitation is narrow façade, less than 4m, the solution chosen by my team is to open two small atrium, one is a void at the corner, one above & through all stair at each level, provide natural light for all the spaces and rooms, the void at the end of the house make space for natural ventilation. The criteria is just enough area for rooms, try to spend a part area of building be share for the atrium. Almost material is simple and neutral and some furniture have an

accent color according to owner to make the mood in this house lightly, brighter and neat but still keep the warmth of the space. The function of the house is simply divided but meets the needs of the homeowner. Separate the bathroom into a wet and dry space & make the dry part out to accommodate the shared bathroom. The limitation of the house is the small area and the setback on the rooftop, so adjusting the shape of the stairs on each level is a bright design as well as the atrium in the corner. Provide the house have both skylights as well as a more unique and spacious space in a narrow space. This void also is connection space for all indoor areas. 03 Phuc Brother‘s House PASSIVE DUPLEX TOWNHOUSE INTO ONE GARDEN VILLA Tien Phat So Tam Company | with Partner | 2020 Location: District 8 Area: 1030m2 Year: 2020 Scope: Design, draft & collaborate with Dinh Trung carpentry workshop, Thao Garden company limited Manufacturers: Autodesk Revit, Lumion, Adobe Photoshop, Inax, MyKolor, Xingfa, Thanh Thuy Wood Located in district 8, where have the old urban planning, with a dense building density, low drainage, quality of life is not good enough. The building with front side to the west, adjacent to the 2.5 meters width road and the back side is East, closed with internal road 3.5 meters. The road to the house is narrow and has to turn many alleys, cars cannot reach. Based on the land shape which length up to nearly 32 meters, ground floor length is 17meters in the total land, and both sides leave long corridors to create ventilation for the north and south of the house. Therefore, four sides of the house would be subjected to thermal effects from early morning to late afternoon and solutions for heat insulation, natural ventilation, energy savings need to be answered perfectly in concept design. The master plan has designated with allocated function volumes, connecting by vertical and horizontal routes which running along the land depth. Thus, these volumes will be randomly enjoyed the void space filled with light, natural ventilation and green trees. For all level, wall thickness is 200mm & double layer used for West & East side, 200mm thickness. This wall not only creates a solidify image for the building but also an effective insulation wall and the glass folding door is maximum opened for the owner when needed, connecting functional volumes into a large space. As the height of the house increased, the wider of console is made, specially is the west side. This solution creates shelter to prevent glass doors system from direct sunlight.

Wood imitation aluminum louver window at the west as a shield from the sunlight and block the direct view from outside (adjacent house etc) into private living space. The first floor will opens but achieve necessary close. It is possible to summarize the overall design as well as the house space by avoiding the sun with two layers of clothes, creating continuous spatial buffers. A buffer between the inside and outside of the house - combined with layers of greenery helps to solve the problems of reducing hot temperatures from outside; An indoor buffer zone is a floor space between the house - creating a clear space, transmitting natural light, rain and wind, and regulating temperature between the two houses. The whole project is a combination of duplex townhouses, clearly divided according to usage needs. The ground floor is arranged to connect open spaces, stretching along a green corridor overlooking the waterfall garden. The first floor consists of 4 bedrooms, with a thermal buffer connection and a common living space with a view through between the two houses. The terrace is the traditional spiritual space of the family. It can be said that the work is two but one, is the transition between public and private space, creating a close, close connection between two families. 04 Phuong Aunt‘s House SUNSHADE FOR SMALL HOUSE Tien Phat So Tam Company | with Partner | 2019 Location: District 10 Area: 210m2 Year: 2019 Scope: Design, draft Manufacturers: Autodesk Revit, Lumion, Adobe Photoshop, Inax, MyKolor, Xingfa Like many other tube houses in Saigon, is located on a narrow lot(4x10.5m) in a crowded residential area of the city, which is blocked by neighboring buildings on three sides, having only one side facing the exterior, yet, toward the West. Coming to Phuong Aunt, the owner, wanted foremost an airy and relaxing space after a retirement, with green facade. To resolve the above-mentioned constraints while enhancing natural lighting and ventilation, we decided to use “green sunshade facade” and “void”. There are two voids: a middle and a corner for back bedroom. Besides, the wood imitation aluminum with climbing tree reduce direct sunlight. They altogether create the feeling of a house as an open, connected whole. The bamboo ceiling at the backyard skylight, right over the stairs,

is made up of vertical bamboo stick. This enables a visual connection with the façade while serving as a sunshade. It also partially block the view from the opposite house. The function of the house is simple but optimal for all areas for a family of many people. The ground floor is arranged as airy as possible, especially the 4-leaf gate system that swings to one side and no lower rail to avoid collisions when parking. And when maximum opened, 3 wings are fully opened, create a sense of spaciousness for the whole house when there are parties and guests. 05 LOT D Aged Care SUNZERO - HEALTHY RESORT COMMUNITIES Draft4Go Company | Flodesign | with Partner | 2018 Location: 730 Sunbury Rd, Sunbury VIC 3429, Australia Area: 3838m2 Year: 2018 Scope: Design, draft in Feasibility concept Manufacturers: Autodesk Revit, AutoCad, Adobe Photoshop Aged Care Centre is the important piece of the Sun Zero Healthy Communities. It provides a service heathcare to the surrounding community with an environment of comfort, dignity and security. They receive contemporary quality care in both the medical and nursing fields within the resources available. The four-storey Aged Care Centre is covered by double skin, with climbing tree from planter boxs on each floor around building and green wall at east & west to soften the base of the building and screen vehicles from the street. It has a podium at north & south on the first floor with access open

sky sensory garden, circuit walks and chat seating and multi purpose stage and screen. All parking is provided at ground level, with two levels of onebedroom and one-bedroom with private balcony at level 3rd. And the rooftop garden at level 4th. All of these with the added benefits of what Sun Zero has to offer. Amenities like a Club House with pool, bowling lawn, tennis court, theatre and conference space.
