Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan, founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II on November 18, 1727. Jaipur city was divided into nine blocks, two of which were state Buildings and Palaces. The remaining seven blocks were allotted to the general public to live in.

The City Palace reflects a beautiful combination of Rajput, Mughal and European architectural styles although the palace was designed according to the Vastu Shastra treatise.

In late 1900, the court Architect of the time, Lala Chiman Lal, constructed the Mubarak Mahal in its center. The facade of the Mubarak Mahal is identical on all four sides with multifaceted white marble and beige stone carving that give the impression of sensitive decoupage.

Primary Health Centre

The way we conduct ourselves in the face of disaster, whether natural/anthropogenic, local/ global or transient/enduring continual leaves much to be desired. Self-centeredness, regionalism, sectarianism, consumerism and the current form of capitalism characterise our civilisation and it has failed humanity amidst crisis.

Facts are heavily weighted in favour of nurturing togetherness, public sector and the welfare State. The need for ensuring universal access to primary health services and wellness initiatives cannot be overemphasised in the current scenario of COVID-19 pandemic.

‘Primary Health Centre is the cornerstone of rural health services - first port of call to a qualified doctor of the public sector in rural areas for the infected and those who directly report or referred from Sub-Centres for curative, preventive and promotive health care.’ The brief is to prepare a design for a Type B Public Health Centre.

Mission Amrit Sarovar

Hon’ble Prime Minister, as part of the commemorative celebration of the 75th anniversary of our independence, envisioned protecting traditional water bodies for ensuring water security of cities by involving youth and the community. Bearing this vision in mind, the Government of India launched ‘Mission Amrit Sarovar - Jal Dharohar Sanrakshan”.

Due to modern practices of water supply system, relevance of these traditional water bodies in the societal context were somehow ignored.

As a result, these historical heritages didn’t get the due attention and are in pathetic condition. Spatio-temporal analysis indicates encroachment around the water bodies are very common and significant. These water bodies are either devoid of water or sink of waste dumping.

These historical heritages still have very sound potential to be preserved and rejuvenated. Rejuvenation plan and action for rejuvenating these water bodies have been proposed.
