Idioms: At the eleventh floor

A clock has 12 hours. If we reach the eleventh hour, that means we are near the deadline. At the eleventh floor means ‘at the last moment’. Eg. 1. Bill Liu managed to submit his assignment at the eleventh hour after he had worked round the clock these three days.

2. Bill Liu found that he didn’t bring his wallet for dinner. Luckily, his mother came at the eleventh hour and paid the pill. @MK ENGLISH
