Nestled Within Nature

Introducing new luxury residences on Kiawah Island

Bordered by the coastal grandeur of the Atlantic Ocean and streaming waters of the Kiawah River, life is gently guided by year-long displays of nature pampered by a temperate climate. Bike paths, boardwalks, kayaks, and paddleboards become primary means of transportation.

Miles of magnificent coastline, expansive marshes, cascading lagoons, and ancient maritime forests distinguish nature as the star here. Embedded in the layers of Kiawah’s rich landscape, a distinct living environment emerges in the West Beach community on Kiawah Island.

The Cape Club

Hidden Treasure

West Beach’s premier island location, seamlessly connected to parks, bike paths, ocean access, and scenic walkways, is just the beginning of what makes Ocean Pines truly exceptional. Protected by lush green layers of coastal pines, the true magic found here is exclusively reserved for the viewing pleasure of its residents. Step inside, and you’ll discover a thoughtful blend of architectural design and natural beauty.

The team behind the creation of Ocean Pines was guided by a clear vision of Designing with Nature. Under the direction of Hart Howerton Architects and Kiawah Partners Design and Development team, the immersive styling of Ocean Pines was conceived.

Seven buildings and 69 residences consisting of two-, three-, and four-bedroom floor plans showcase natural architectural materials and complementary color hues. Ocean blues, boardwalk grays, beachy neutrals, and marsh-inspired greens and golds create the interior design palette.

Board-formed concrete and wood siding pay further tribute to the landscape and ancient maritime forest. Powder-coated aluminum, bronze-colored materials, and translucent glass complete the exceptional layers of a comprehensive and thoughtful architectural design aesthetic.

A Living Landscape

Progressive contemporary architecture embedded within a natural framework by its surrounding coastal canvas creates a dynamic artistic pairing. Ocean Pines showcases a collaboration of remarkable talent and natural reverence.

Mirroring the life above, the water acts as a reflective centerpiece for the community. Natural growth within the layered landscape continues with ascending greenery that merges to further incorporate the buildings.

Charleston-based landscape architects, wertimer + cline, further add to the interior magic with landscape curvatures that soften the rectilinear architecture. A central courtyard with walkways and a stunning lagoon becomes a connected, flowing focal point.

Layers of Engagement

Blending modern form and classic Kiawah coastal charm, these residences feature porches and terraces that pay homage to the welcoming nature of Lowcountry residents. With the ease and efficiency of covered parking below, homes are raised above the landscape to enjoy prevailing ocean breezes and optimal seasonal sunlight patterns. Interior spaces with seamless exterior connections extend an open invitation for nature to connect. Select homes feature a double-height advantage with a more extensive windowscape approach. Designed in layers, Ocean Pines combines form and function with tiered elegance and interest.
