DI Boxes DIs are commonly used to transfer a signal without degredation between source and mixing desk. They also help to get rid of nasty ground loops. Why Picolino ? IMPEDANCE MATCHING PICOLINO AES impedance matchers are designed for balancing, unbalancing, and matching of digital audio signals. They can also be applied for the purpose of isolating signals. All matchers comply to AES specifications, are of broadcast quality, and can be used in the studio or for live applications as well. All connectors are Neutrik XLR and Damar&Hagen BNC components with gold plating. APPLICATION: Impedance matching of digital audio signals - Conversion of balanced AES3/ 110 Ohm to unbalanced AESid or SPDIF 75 Ohm, or vice versa - Isolation of digital audio signals - sending signals over long cable runs - ability to use more affordable 75 Ohm cables for transfer of AES signals.

It distorts and cranks without mercy, which is the whole purpose of distortion after all. The really cool thing about the PICOLINO distortion is: When not using it as a distortion and you’re in need of a DI, it also doubles up as a DI box which your PICOLINO distortion will do with pleasure.

Limiter The PICOLINO Series from KID Broadcast welcomes a new addition. Isn’t that nice ? :-) You can admire the newest Picolino at the Frankfurt Musikmesse, where we will be presenting all the latest Picolino products. The Picolino Limiter limits the level of analogue line or mic signals. It prevents overloading the attached equipment by cutting the peak levels. The Threshold, or level at which the Limiter comes in, is adjustable by a trim pot. The Limiter is powered by Phantompower of the desk, so no further power supply is required. The Limiter has the same superior sound quality as all the other products in the Picolino series.

Noise Gate The Picolino Noisegate switches a signal to “silent” once the level has gone below a selected threshold. One ideal example is to use it used in-line with a microphone in order to automatically mute the signal when the speaker pauses. The threshold is adjustable by trim pot. The Gate is powered by Phantompower of the desk, so no further power supply is required.
