How Montessori learning Materials are So Popular among Kids?

When you start thinking about your child 's education outside the home you have in principle two options: you make a list of those that come you well for its location, or open an infinite universe of kindergartens and schools in which un-missable thanks to the many teaching methods that exist. If so, say goodbye to sleep for a few weeks while you choose what is best for your offspring.

What is the 'Montessori Method' about and what makes it so special? What proposes this method (created by Maria Montessori, the first Italian doctor who worked with children most of her life), it is to enhance the natural ability to learn from children, allowing them to be free to explore, play, move and socialize its pace. That way, they develop their independence and teachers become counselors rather than people who control and direct a group.

Each child is considered as an individual, so instead of a scheduled class, each has special planning and some goals that should work (e.g . in mathematics, languages and science). One of the premises of the Montessori philosophy is that the child is basically 'a sponge that absorbs everything' and from 0 to 6 years can increase your potential with the right incentives toys 'little facts' that stimulate their creativity, much contact with nature and, above all, freedom of movement. Why are Montessori Learning Materials getting fashionable? In classrooms Montessori Learning materials are taught are characterized by open spaces that have different areas where children can read, play, experiment or practice math. So the child can move freely within them and choose the activity you want to do at all times. This point is not simply a whim: it is because the method is intended to respect the times when children are more willing to learn things about a specific area (called 'sensitive periods'), without tying them to a schedule that can cause them frustration.

Hands are the most used resource because it is one of the first senses that we use to discover the world since we are born, so it is not uncommon to find materials such as sand, water, paints and construction elements ... anything that stimulates its capacity sensory can be used as material. One of the things that is striking about this method is that, despite promoting the independence of children, they learn to work together and with a great sense of collaboration ... which in the end is the Easier way to achieve a common goal.

We know that every child is a world and therefore not any method can work for each of them. There is no manual to indicate whether this is the ideal place for your child, but intuitively perceived that the child must have a 'spirit of adventure' to jump to try new activities every day and on their own. If you are thinking of enrolling your children in one of the centers that follow the Montessori philosophy, it is also important to keep in mind that it is a name that is freely used, so we must make sure before the professionals are properly trained in the methodology.
