Chocolate Chip Cookies

For all the little chefs out there, how about some delicious cookies? This is one of the easiest recipes you can do while staying at home!

You will need:

• 200g unsalted butter

• 1 cup of brown sugar

• 1 egg

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• 2 cups flour

• 1 tsp baking powder

• 1 tsp baking soda

• 200 g chocolate chips or M&Ms

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celcius

2. Place all your ingredients in a mixer except for the chocolate chips and mix together for 3-5 minutes.

3. Divide the cookie dough into two parts. I added the chocolate chips into one part and M&Ms into the other part.

4. On a tray with wax paper roll the cookie dough into balls. Don’t forget to leave even spaces between the cookie as they will spread in the oven!

5. Place your tray of cookies in the middle of your oven and leave to bake for 8-10 minutes.

6. Leave the cookies to cool on a cooling rack for 5 minutes. Enjoy!

Spinach Salty Pastry

Spinach is a super food as it is loaded with tons of nutrients. This is why I like to make this recipe, as it’s a great way to enjoy eating spinach!

For the dough you will need:

• 4 cups white flour

• 4 tbsp powdered milk

• 1 tbsp salt

• 1 tbsp sugar

• 1 1/2 tbsp Instant yeast

• 1/3 cup corn oil

• 2 cups warm water

For the spinach filling you will need:

• 2 packs fresh spinach

• 2 onions

• The juice of 3-4 lemons

• 2 tbsp salt

• 2-3 tbsp Sumac

Instructions:

1. Mix the flour, powdered milk, salt, yeast and sugar together. Add in 1 cup of warm water.

2. Mix in the corn oil and add the second cup of water gradually. Mix together for 3-5 minutes.

3. Cover up your mixture with cling film and a dry clean towel. Leave aside for a minimum of 1 hour.

4. In that time we will prepare our spinach filling. Clean the spinach and cut it into medium slices and cut the onions into small cubes.

5. Mix together with salt, lemon juice and sumac and let the excess water drain.

6. Divide the dough into small balls and spread flour on a clean surface. Take one of the dough balls and flatten it down. Add one table spoon of the spinach filling and fold the pastry into a triangle shape.

7. Brush the surface of each pastry with an egg wash and bake in the oven at 180 degrees C for 10-15 minutes.
