Special Feature on The Shard

The bussiest places in London

Where not to live in London? London architecture is amongst the most well known in the world. While London itsef is forever evolving, so is its architecture. From the shard to the london eye, as aestetically pleasing as they are they are not neccessarily the most ideal places to live by due to several reasons from

spoilings views to potential safety risks. However this is going to help you find your ideal place to live by pointing out these issues around the city of london. Canary wharf the major buisness district including the HSBC building contains some of the highest buildings in London. All together nice to look at however it being the centre of buisness for London it is also one of the busiest areas in central London. For the price of living near by if you like your piece and quite I would not recommend setting down in this area.

London Bridge is one of Londons greatest historic landmarks. It allows people to cross from one side of the river themes to the other. This therefor causing it to be extremely congested throughout the day so if you are planning to drive this would not be an ideal place to live.

The O2 Arena formally known as the millenium dome is one of Londons most famous pieces of architecture. Whilst nice to look at there is always alot going on around this area. Thousands of gigs and events are held here attracting people from all over the country and the world, This makes it a very potential stressful place to live by as tonnes of new people pour into this stadium every day causing alot of congestion and noise among people.

The Shard. The Shard standing at 308m tall is an 87 story skyskraper in Souhtwark London that is currently the tallest building in the Europian Union. From the top of the shard it gives an amazing view as you can easily see the whole of London. A remarkable piece of architecture however it doesnt go without its criticims. The Shard being such a good view point itself is ironically spoiling many nearby peoples views who live in the area as it also takes up alot of space which means if you dont live far away enough from it, you wont be able to see past it. 308m

20 Fenchurch Street 20 Fenchurch Street or the ‘Walkie Talkie’ builiding standing at 160m is a commercial skyskraper in London. Nicknamed the ‘Walkie Talkie’ building due to its unusual shape, this has become an issue for some people living near by. Mainly in summer they’re have been complaints of extrme glar e from the sunlight bouncing off of its warped shape. There has even been a casey of the warped building melting part of a car due to this issue. So if you are not a fan of too much sun I woud advise you don’t buy a property nearby. If you don’t mind too much sun I would still invet in some sunglasses and be careful where you park your car just to be on the safe sie.
