Liebherr Scholarship Programme 2023

Leaving Certificate students and current third-level degree students are now invited to apply for the Liebherr Scholarship Programme. Qualifying courses include mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, structural engineering, mechatronics, automation, business information systems, computer science, software development, and data analytics

Benefits

Scholarship recipients will have their college fees paid for the duration of their course and will have the additional benefits of being able to complete work experience during summer vacations and college placements throughout the course terms. The Liebherr Scholarship Programme provides a unique opportunity for recent Leaving Certificate students and existing college students to gain a 3rd level qualification, practical experience and the opportunity to continue employment with Liebherr on graduation.

Applicants should include a CV detailing Leaving Certificate/Junior Certificate/college projects and/or results and a cover letter explaining why they have chosen their specific career path. In the case of Leaving Certificate applicants, a copy of their completed CAO form showing their choice of course should be included.

Essential skills/Qualifications required:

A major award in Childcare/Early Education at a minimum of NFQ level 7 or equivalent. Applicants will demonstrate at least 3 years’ Supervisor experience in a position of responsibility running an area and supervising staff.

Main Job Purpose

• To deputise for the Childcare Manager in their absence.

• Assist with the effective daily management of the Childcare Service including administration.

• Ensuring rosters and staffing of the Centre are well organised.

• To work directly with the children in the Centre where required including relief cover in rooms, opening and closing the service-operating hours 7:30am-6:00pm.

• To monitor and ensure that all agreed compliance, quality and safety standards are maintained at all times.

Personal Attributes:

• Excellent team ethic and leadership skills with a proven record of working as part of a cross functional team and an ability to take initiative.

• Strong communication, organisational and competent computer literacy skills.

• Flexible, professional and reliable.
