Ingredients 125g butter, melted ½ cup brown sugar 400g can condensed milk ½ cup coconut ¼ cup cocoa ½ cup self-raising flour ½ cup plain flour 125g chocolate buttons

Method 1. Heat the oven to 220°c. Mix all the self raising flour into a mixing bowl with 1 ⁄4 tbs of salt and 1 tbsp of baking powder.
2. Rub the butter into the flour until the mix resembles bread crumbs. 3. Pour the milk into a jug and put them into the microwave for about 30sec. Add vanilla extract and three drops of lemon juice.
4. Put a baking tray into the oven. Make a well in the dry mix and pour the milk in, then quickly combine with a cutlery knife.
5. Scatter some flour onto your work surface and tip the dough out onto it. Dredge the dough and your hands with some flour, then fold the dough three to four times until it’s smoother. 6. Pat it into a round about 4cm deep. 7. Get a 5cm deep circle cutter and dip it into some flour, plunge it into some dough, then repeat until you have about four scones. 8. Brush the tops with a beaten egg then carefully arrange then on a baking tray. Bake for ten mins till the scones have risen and golden on the top of each one.
