One of our newest programs is the Center for Women & Children (CWC), home to the moms & babies program. Part of the residential services treatment group the CWC provides a safe environment for pregnant and post partum women and their babies while mom begins recovery in a residential setting.
Providing specialty treatment program for substance involved pregnant and postpartum women, and women with children five or younger. Palm Beach County lost two specialty programs for pregnant women in the past two years, leaving a void in services for this population. The number of babies born addicted to drugs has grown 200% in the last seven years. Every 25 minutes, a baby is born suffering from withdrawal. Pregnant women need to be safely detoxed, and offered treatment throughout their pregnancy and in the months after delivery.
