We participated in selling $85,000,000 of real estate in the Lake Country this year. This was a 30% increase in our production from last year and for the 10th straight year, we will sell more real estate than any other individual agent or team of agents in our market! Average property values continued to edge up from $337,000 in 2017 to $389,000 in 2018 (14% increase). LAKE SINCLAIR market update This has been a very exciting 2018! The Lake Sinclair real estate market continued to improved in 2018. TOTAL SALES VOLUME has increased 6% from 2017 (154,000,000 in 2017) (164,000,000 in 2018.) The number of single family home transactions actually decreased (769 in 2017) (725 in 2018). The price range of 200,000399,000 had the most activity with 245 transactions- most of these were LAKEFRONT homes. Itś important to note that average home values continued to edge up from $ 220,000 in 2017 to $ 245,000 in 2018. Other statistics worth noting were lot/land sales remained about the same with only 1% difference in volume. The gap in average in list price to sales price tightened in 2018 (4.4% in 2017) (3.6% in 2018). Brittney Cares Taking tragedy and turning it into something good for others. . . One of my favorite memories is of Brittney and I coming home after a particularly fun day on the lake. I remember her arms wrapped around my waist as we rode the jet ski back to the dock. The water was as smooth as glass and the sunset lit up the sky with a brilliant pink. That evening, I found a note from Brittney on my pillow thanking me for such a perfect day. She truly loved the water, and we know she would have loved for us to share the lake with other families.

In 1999, a tragic accident occurred, and one of our precious, 11-year old twin girls was killed on the lake she loved so much. It is an unbelievably difficult process to learn to live your life again after the death of a child, and, as we struggled to make sense of our reality, we searched for ways to occupy our time, and for ways to share our blessings with the community in honor of the giving, caring, beautiful soul we’d lost. Out of the sadness, Kim and Lin Logan Real Estate was born. As we poured more and more of ourselves into a business that needed so much energy and so much dedication, we had little time left to be lost in our memories and grief. Reflecting on the generous nature of this beautiful soul, the concept for Brittney Cares was formed as a way to continue her habit of kindness and giving. Over the years we have made a consistent habit of giving throughout the year, but gradually we felt we wanted to do something more organized. This year, we formed the entity known as Brittney Cares and made our first official donation - $1000 to the Oconee Regional Humane Society. Our intent is to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families in our community, and we welcome you to reach out to us with news of those who may be in need.
