NOVEMBER 2014
As we kick off our fall/winter art schedule in Scottsdale, we are pleased to present our annual Fall Classics Sale and Exhibition on Saturday, November 15. This is an event that the majority of our artists participate in so it is a show rich in diversity and stylistic approaches. Whether you are a collector of traditional western art, landscape works, sporting art or impressionism, the new body of work offered in our show has broad appeal for a wide range of art buyers as you will see on the following pages. During this event we will also be showcasing new works from Z.S. Liang who will be appearing in person at the gallery on November 15 to sign his new book Native TrailsFresh Tracks. Published by Greenwich Workshop Press, this is the first fine art, hardcover retrospective of Liang’s work. His rich and compelling paintings of Native American culture and tradition clearly resonate with collectors who find depth and quality in his storytelling narratives. His penchant for detail combined with the historical and narrative elements of his paintings have firmly established him among the ranks of the finest western representational painters in the country today. The gallery will also use this occasion to celebrate Robert Duncan’s 40th anniversary of representation at Trailside, which he joined in 1974 as an up and coming artist. His newest collection of paintings will mainly focus on historic Native American subject matter for which he is best known and which brought him resounding success as an award winning member of the Cowboy Artists of America organization during the early 1980’s. Looking ahead, we have the Holiday Season coming up fast and I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that we have our annual “Deck The Walls” Holiday
