December 2013
Excellence in ART since 1963.
Dear Friends: This time of year brings a palpable mood of expectation and celebration as the Christmas holidays approach! The hustle and bustle of the season can be a bit frenetic, but one cannot help but love all the planning, shopping and searching for that perfect gift for friends and loved ones.
Morgan Weistling, Apple Break, 12 x 16, Oil, $9,500
In keeping with tradition, our Scottdale gallery will be hosting its annual Deck the Walls Holiday Miniature Show on Thursday December 5th. Many of Trailside’s most collected and sought after artists are featured in our show and the selection of subjects reaches far and wide, from western to landscapes and impressionism to figurative works. Likewise, on Saturday December 14, our Jackson, Wyoming gallery will be hosting “All Creatures Great and Small” a show of small works which will focus specifically on wildlife art. Our Holiday event is always a crowd pleaser and this year is no exception. Whether you are shopping for yourself or looking for the perfect stocking stuffer, the small jewels featured in our miniature sale are sure to brighten up your Holidays. Please note that our newsletter features only a sampling of the available artwork. Visit our website to view the entire selection.
Robert Duncan, The Long Cold, 12 x 16, Oil, $3,200
As 2013 comes to a close, I look back fondly at the many shows and events which we hosted at Traislide this past year, particularly our 50th anniversary celebration. What a milestone that was! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our artists, friends and patrons for their continued support and friendship. All of us share a special bond, and that is the desire and passion to surround and enrich our lives with beautiful and meaningful works of art. On behalf of the entire Trailside family, best wishes for a very Happy Holiday Season filled with joy and peace! Maryvonne Leshe Managing Partner

Trailside Galleries is pleased to now represent Canadian artist Jeremy Browne. Working in acrylics, Jeremy gravitates towards the things that he knows best; open land, farming communities and rocky shores. Painting these areas allows him to explore the effect of light on the the land. Most of Jeremy’s paintings are done in either late fall or winter. By painting the landscape in its barest form, there is nothing to hide the natural beauty.
