EXCELLENCE IN ART SINCE 1963

Dear Friends, A few weeks ago we celebrated our move back into our Scottsdale gallery, which has been undergoing a remodel for several months. It was a bit nerve wracking getting moved back in, given the typical delays that happen with a renovation project. But in the end, we managed to be up and running in time for our grand re-opening show on Saturday, November 5. We had a packed house the entire afternoon thanks to the many collectors and artists who stopped in to see the newly remodeled gallery and to attend our show. I hope all of you that attended had as good a time as I did! With this, our final newsletter of 2016, we are pleased to offer a collection of small works for the Holiday Season. Good things really do come in small packages; so whether you are treating yourself or giving the gift of art, you are sure to find a little gem to brighten up the Holidays! We are also pleased to have a selection of new works from awardwinning landscape artist Curt Walters. Curt is particularly revered for his stunning interpretations of the Grand Canyon and his magnificent vistas of the desert Southwest. These works remind us yet again why Curt is so beloved by collectors and why he is regarded as one of the premier landscape painters of our time.

Renowned Canadian wildlife artist Ron Kingswood has recently joined the gallery. Once known for a more pictorial, representational style, Kingswood’s approach today is one that is much more an expression of deeply emotional reaction to color, which the artist finds more challenging and personally satisfying. Negative space and gestural markings suggest light and atmosphere and off-center focal points give

the wildlife a sense of being just glimpsed. The resulting expressions of movement, energy, and emotion offer a unique view of nature itself. As we close out the year, I want to take this opportunity on behalf of all the Trailside staff to extend best wishes for a Happy Holiday Season and our sincere thanks for your confidence, loyalty and goodwill throughout the year!
