surroundings in Utah as well as painting trips to New England and the East Coast, specifically Port Clyde and Monhegan Island in Maine. New to the gallery is artist Qiang Huang who was born in Beijing and came to America in 1985. Huang, who holds a Ph.D. in physics and light, has literally used that training to influence his approach to painting, specifically with light being the focus of his stilifes and cityscapes. We are pleased to feature Huang in a special showcase of all new works throughout the month. With summer just around the corner, the Jackson gallery will be getting ready for a full schedule of events, starting in June with our season opening show. The lineup of shows includes our annual Masters in Miniature Sale; showcases for Robert Moore and Ralph Oberg; a one man show for wildlife painter Dustin Van Wechel; and a special five man show in August called Western Convergence that will feature Bill Anton, Logan Maxwell Hagege, Z.S. Liang, Jim C. Norton and Tim Solliday. Please visit out website for the most updated information on all the upcoming events. We look forward to seeing you in the galleries! This April we are pleased to present the 11th annual East Meets West Exhibition and Sale which brings together the talents of an extraordinary group of Chines painters. Over these many years, it has been most rewarding to witness first hand the ever-growing collector interest and enthusiasm for original works by these distinguished painters of Chinese heritage. The common core uniting these artists? Training, specifically the formal and rigorous academic training they all received in their native homeland. Our show will feature all new works from Mian Situ, Calvin Liang, Huihan Liu, Jie Wei Zhou, James Jiang, and Xiaogang Zhu. Once again, this annual event provides a wonderful platform to showcase these artists who so brilliantly meld their strong academic foundations with their unique, ancient heritage and more recent western influences. On April 9th we are very pleased to welcome multiple award winning artist and Cowboy Artist of America Martin Grelle for a special artist reception at the Scottsdale gallery from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Martin, who will be on hand to meet collectors, has produced a major new work for this reception that will be sold by minimum silent bid at 7:30 pm. For further information, please contact the gallery. Robert Duncan has produced a new collection of work for “Coast To Country” which features paintings inspired by both his rural
