EXCELLENCE IN ART SINCE 1963

With the summer art season in Jackson set to open in June, we are pleased to host Summer Rendezvous, a show of all new works by our gallery artists. This event is one that is quite diverse in subject matter as it features an expansive grouping of work including traditional western art, pure landscapes, still lifes, aviation art, wildlife as well as architectural and figurative works. During this show, we are pleased to formally welcome Santa Fe based artist William Acheff who has recently joined the gallery. The classically trained artist is widely recognized and renowned for his highly realistic still lifes of rich Native American artifacts both past and present. Also on tap in June is our Out Of Africa show, a month long exhibition of new works depicting everything from “The Big Five” to the beautiful and varied bird species found on the Dark Continent. Straddling the equator, Africa is bestowed with a rich diversity of wildlife and landscapes. Widely regarded as the place where human life originated, Africa is home to many of the world's best loved and most fascinating animals, and sadly, to some of its most endangered. The featured artworks in our show not only capture the essence of Africa’s awe-inspiring vastness and beauty, but they serve to remind us of the critical need for sustainable conservation.

Jenness Cortez, Tools of the Trade, 18 x 24 inches, acrylic on mahogony panel, $43,000

Trailside Galleries will donate a portion of the sales from this event to Tusk, a dynamic and pioneering organization with 25 years of experience initiating and funding conservation, community development and environmental education programs across Africa. HRH the Duke of Cambridge became the charity’s Royal Patron in 2005 and has been a proactive supporter of Tusk’s work ever since. Giving an added layer of interest to our show are the magnificent photographs of famed British nature photographer David Yarrow. His iconic photograph, “Circle of Life,” was recently auctioned off for $55,000 during Tusk’s Wildlife Gala Celebration held in New York City.

William Acheff, Night Song, oil on canvas, 24 x 20 inches, $33,500
