EXCELLENCE IN ART SINCE 1963

Dear Friends, As our latest newsletter rolls off the press, we are pleased to offer a selection of new works for your consideration. On the following pages, you will find a diverse group of paintings and sculpture, some by artists you are familiar with, but perhaps one or two of these artists are new to you! Case in point are avian artists Jhenna Quinn Lewis and Stefan Savides who have recently joined the gallery. While both are very established in their fields and have enjoyed long careers, we are pleased to have the opportunity to introduce them to our collector base. On page 7 you will see a sampling of their work along with a brief biography on each artist. Also, new to the gallery is Colorado based artist Thomas Blackshear. A graduate of the American Academy of Art in Chicago Thomas hails Bill Anton, A Fresh Grizzly Track, oil on linen, 36 x 48 inches, $42,500 from a very successful freelance illustration career. Known for his dramatic lighting and sensitivity to mood, he has produced illustrations for a number of publications as well as postage stamps, greeting cards and national posters. He also illustrated a commemorative stamp book entitled “I Have a Dream.” Seventeen of his original paintings from the publication were exhibited at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. and toured the country for eight years. His work is included in the permanent collection of the Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville, Georgia. Looking ahead, we have a number of shows scheduled for the busy summer art season at our Jackson, Wyoming location, beginning with “Cultural Portraits” a June showcase for Chinese figurative painter Jie Wei Zhou. Based in Colorado, Zhou is recognized for his stunning figural works that primarily depict the tribal peoples of Tibet, Mongolia and China. He has always loved painting the rich costumes and cultures of these people. Zhou often captures the everyday life of children and adults, dating as far back as the 18th century to present day. I encourage you to Thomas Blackshear, Peace Pipe, oil and goldleaf on board, visit our website to 27 1/2 x 36 1/2 inches, $25,000 view additional works by these and other artists and to see a complete schedule of upcoming shows and events at the gallery. Also, just a reminder that you can also visit us across various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and LinkedIn where we continue to develop a strong following of art enthusiasts!
