THE START OF A
MONS
By Samara Martinez, January 1, 1818 Victor was the type of person who was very interested in learning about modern science and is fascinated in the in life after death and believed that by creating a monster he would be considered like God and this monster would be a creating for the betterment of humankind. His obsession to science drove him to the creation of the monster and though he was doing a good deed to humanity by creating a new human from various parts of death persons. Victor believed that with this creation he would be blessed as creator and renew life. He worked on his creation and reanimating death by his creation. Once his replacement of death was stitched and was put together he believed it was completed and believed that this creation was done. Not knowing how the creation would turn out. As the monster came to life Victor didn’t know what he had just created. Victor was very scared and angry when he found out that the monster murdered his brother. Even though they couldn’t find the murderer they executed Justine because she had a picture of William in her pocket. To where she confesses on committing the crime even though she didn’t murder William. Victor was scared to tell the people that the monster killed his brother instead of Justine. Was afraid that the people would see him different because he was the one that created the monster. Getting to the point to where the monster was trying to fit in with the community. Even though no one wanted to be his friend because of how he looked. It got to the point where the monster got very frustrated and mad that no one wanted to be with him. To where the monster thought that maybe Victor could create a female monster for him. Knowing that if Victor created the monster a partner that he wouldn’t be lonely and that he would have someone. As a few months past Victor went on to find Walton and ends up seeing the monster. As they were stuck in the middle of the ocean between some icebergs. Victor later passes and the monster finally realized the bad choices he made over the months. Where he basically forgive Victor and was deeply saddened and decided to leave and later came to his death.
STER Showing how the monster regretted all the bad things he did and wished he could take it back. Realizing that you can take things for granted because they won’t always go your way.

The Return of
Robert Walton
and His Crew
And The Revelations They Brought With Them By Michael Martinez
LOCAL HERO, explorer, and adventurer Robert Walton returned to England today after a long and harrowing journey to the freezing north pole. His men and he came back earlier than expected due to treacherous conditions regarding the ice and glaciers blocking them from moving forward or backward for a month. When asked about his trek up north, he simply stated that he had seen wonderful things and unique creatures along his journey, and handed a collection of letters to the journalists at the scene. Later that evening we were able to catch up with Walton and talk to him about his journey. He began with saying that the large and frigid expanse of the north pole is unforgiving and dangerous, yet he and his crew continued to move forward until they could no longer due so. He then went on to describe furry creatures he encountered while there, small
animals that were excellent swimmers and overall posed no harm to humans. He also described large furry creature that were predatory towards moderately sized seals. Caribou, a different species of fox, and wolves further populated the harsh terrain. After telling of the animals and lands, he told of a man he met there at the north pole who was on the brink of death. He decided to nurse this man back to health and after multiple weeks, the man was strong enough to speak. The man was revealed to be Victor Frankenstein, someone we interviewed just a few months ago. Robert revealed that Victor went to the north pole to hunt the monster that he had created and finish what he started. Victor came unprepared to face the cold winds of the arctic, and nearly froze to death before Walton found him. Walton goes on to say he conversed with Victor about many things, and became a friend of Victor. He goes on to say that Victor saved him from mutiny when his crew wanted to turn back to england if they got the chance. When faced with these men, Walton did not know what to say; Victor, however, did. Victor went on to give a speech Walton calls uplifting and inspirational, getting the men to stand down for the time being. The good times did not last long after that. After weeks of staying bedridden while trying to recover, Walton states Victor finally passed away. After dealing with the grief of losing his friend, Walton hears a voice crying in Victor’s room. Standing over Victor’s body is none other than the monster he so desperately tried to get everyone to believe was there. After engaging in talks, Walton realizes that the Monster is regretful for the murders he committed and for making his creator’s life miserable. Walton states he did not believe the monster and tells him to get off the ship, the monster complies, ranting about how he will go and die somewhere in the north pole so that he can finally be free of his misery and guilt. Because of these encounters, Walton decided it was best for his crew and him to return home in light of what they now knew. With these accounts now brought to light, many wonder what the reaction to someone successfully creating life, only for that life to kill people. Only time will tell, and the people of England will surely be waiting.

GRAVES FROM ALL OVER THE CITY of Ingolstadt have been desecrated and are missing body parts! Several charnel houses have been found with broken locks and remains of blood splattered on the walls. Slaughter houses have been missing large amounts of animals such as pigs, chickens, and goats. Sightings of a man have been spotted rummaging through grave yards and cemeteries. Who can be the man running in the shadows through the grounds of those who are gone? All signs point to Ingolstadt University’s Professor M. Waldman, who focuses on the studies of chemistry. Body parts such as arms and legs have been removed from corpses and major arteries such as hearts have been taken from animals. Or could our suspect be one of more horrendous schemes? Students at Ingolstadt have been beyond curious about the afterlife and have recently been conducting challenges to break the border of life and death. Electrocuted animals have been found in chemistry labs and dorm rooms, left with exploded nerves and melted brains.

Bite marks with teeth ten times the size of man, strangle marks from gigantic hands, and missing body parts from the majority, are only a few horrendous traits from their remains. No human can cause as much damage to such beings, neither physically or mentally. Which brings the question, what creature could act in such a manner? MURDER SCENES HAVE BEEN AT AN ALL-TIME HIGH all around Western and Central Europe, along with a suspicious isolated island. A small boy, a part of a well-off family from the city of Geneva, was mysteriously murdered and the only plausible suspect was a female adopted family member. However, the evidence was merely substantial, although her alibi was clearly flawed. The murder was never pinned directly to one specific person but soon the young one’s sister followed suit in the path towards the afterlife, but her mismanaged body was discovered on an isolated island that had descended from her family. A family friend of the family was discovered on the shores of an Irish port. The cynical yet questionable characteristic is, all the victims were found with the same murderous signature, a strangle mark around their neck. Is there a terrifying serial killer running free or are these deaths merely coincidental?

Interview with Victor Frankenstein following his claim of a monster that he created is lurking about the town and killing his friends and family.
Q. How were you brought up in your family, and what made you pursue a higher education?
A.
INTERVIEWS WITH THE LOCALS by Michael Martinez
My parents were a large part of my life, particularly my
father because my mother died when i was young due to an illness. At about that same time as my mother’s death, i became fascinated with alchemy and the secrets of life and death. This fascination pushed me to pursue my education so that one day i might be able to influence the cycle of both life and death.
Q. You no longer study alchemy, so what changed?
A. As i grew older and attended the university at ingolstadt I began to see the errors of alchemy and its many flaws. I was later told by my professors that i needed a more modern approach and so here we are today.
Q. So with that new knowledge and approach you were able to create life, specifically this monster you speak of?
A. By using my new understandings of science and life, along with my own research and experimentation, i was able to create the monster; I now Regret that decision and carry the burden of knowing what i have done is terrible, and has ended the lives of those i hold dear to me.
Q Why do you regret your work? A. When i was working on my creation, i was blinded by the pure ecstacy of doing something that
had not been done before. Nearly as soon as i finished and looked upon my finished work, i came to a realization that what i had created was a grotesque excuse for a man, an utter abomination to society and unnatural being.
Q. And how does this tie in to the lives of other people such as your friends and family? A. The monster was outraged at the remorse i had about creating it, and was even more so
angered by my abandonment of it into the world. In a bout of vengeance, it indirectly and directly killed those that were close to me, hoping to get even.
Q. Does this mean you blame the monster for these consequences, and hold him in contempt?
A. Absolutely, for if it was not in his nature to be a bloodthirsty brute blinded by hatred, none of this would have happened.
Q. You do not hold yourself accountable for him, despite the fact that you created him? A. I do hold myself to not being able to destroy him when he was just created and at his weakest, for at that point if i had worked up the courage to do it i would not be in this mess, and my friends and family still alive.
Q. What are you hinting at? Does that mean you will kill your own creation? A. I will do what is necessary to avenge my loved ones, and protect the ones i still can. Now i must be going if i am going to catch him, farewell.
As we wrapped up the interview with Victor, we noticed a large man with horrible looking features was fixated on Victor. Seeing this as a chance to possibly talk to whatever was harming victor, we followed him and asked for an interview. He seemed astonished that we were following him and not running, and even more so that we wanted to talk with him. He happily obliged to our request, and thus the interview began.
Q. Who are you? What connection do you have with victor? A. Frankly, i do not know who i am, and nor do i have a name and thus cannot really answer. However, i can answer that the connection i have to Victor is one of father to son, or better yet creator to created.
Q. So your the one who has chased Victor all this time? Your the one he has created?
Q.. Why do you think Victor left you? A Fear, disgust, contempt, horror, and utter disappointment in himself come
to mind. I hate him for this very reason; he did not teach me a single thing about life, disregarding the number one rule of helping a child learn the ways of the world, so that he can help himself and succeed in life, or taking care of a child when they are at their weakest, neither of which victor did.
Q. Does everybody treat you that way or only Victor? A Sadly, Victor’s reaction is the same as everyone else’s. All humans run
when they see me, never allowing me a chance to explain or prove myself because of my looks. At one point, i befriended a blind old man and had a wonderful conversation with him. He held me on a fair scale, one without the injustices of appearance. Just as i was going to break the news of my looks to him, his family came and grew terrified of me and what i might do to them and their father. After that event, i decided to never forgive humanity, and especially Victor for abandoning me and cursing me with my looks.
A Well chase is not a great choice of words. I would much rather say ob- Q. Is it true that you killed Victor’s friends and family? serve and study. And yes he created me, but not much else after that. A Yes it is true, but i had good reason. Victor needed to experience and unQ. What do you mean by that? derstand what i was going through, only then could he repent for his actions. A When i was created, i awoke to unfamiliar sights and sounds, most of Q. Victor calls you a monster, do you agree with his label? which at the time scared and confused me. It was a few moments after this A Not at all, i am simply a creation that wants to converse and peacefully that i saw my creator, or Victor for clarification, cowering behind his lab station, with a stare that spoke a thousand words of fear and disgust. He ran and was not to be seen again until a very long time after that initial occasion. Having left me alone, i got free of my restraints and wandered the lab, taking a scientific journal with me and looking for Victor. Eventually i made my way outside the building and was greeted with a ray of warmth and bliss at the beautiful landscape before me. Victor was too scared of me to teach me anything of the world, so i wandered aimlessly, suffering from newfound problems such as hunger, cold, and loneliness.
coexist with humanity. It is his fault for making me so hideous that nobody will give me a chance. If anyone’s the monster it is humanity, because they can’t seem to look past simple differences such as appearance.
Q. What do you plan to do next? A Well Victor wants to kill me, so i suppose i will run from him till he stops trying, or maybe i will have some fun and lead him in a chase, who knows. I think i hear someone else coming, so i must be on my way. It was nice talking while it lasted.
although the way there proved to be extremely boring, besides the occasional gorgeous sunset and sunrise off the ship.
Q. Once you got there, what kinds of incredible sights did you see? A To my dismay, nothing too great or incredible. The occasional little furry fellow or beautiful mountain was there, but it was overall lacking.
After returning from the north pole, we interviewed local hero Robert Walton on his perilous journey into the unknown and freezing corner of the world.
Q.So, where did your journey begin, and what made you leave to begin with?
A The wonders of the world that i had yet to see and the pride and fame
that come with discovering new places and things. Oh, and my journey began in this very town.
Q. So it was all together uneventful? A Not so. To the surprise of my crewmates and i, we stumbled upon a man
on the brink of death there at the north pole. He was a sickly man, almost freezing to death. I had to nurse him back to health for a few weeks until he finally had the strength needed to speak and tell us why he was there. He said that he was hunting down an abomination of a man that he created, and that he wanted me to hunt him down and complete the mission if he could not. I did not believe him at first, but he kept saying more convincing things, and with the crew saying they saw a large man wandering through a snowstorm, i began to believe him.
Q. Why the north pole? A. Not many stories of explorers going there. I knew that there was an array Q. What happened to the man? of sights, creatures and plants waiting to be seen and documented. My family, namely my sister, tried to stop me from going but i powered on, determined to A Alas, he fought hard, but his wounds and state of health were just too overcome the odds with my crew.
Q. Why were they so reluctant to let you go? A. For the very reason i wanted to go, It was an unknown land with un-
known dangers. My family could not bear the thought of losing me, thus they tried to keep me from going.
Q.. What was the adventure like getting there? A. The adventure was not about getting there, it was about being there,
bad for the care i was giving him to allow for recovery. When he perished, the large man we had been seeing appeared in his room, mourning the man’s death. The large man had grotesque features, along with an even bigger size than we had thought from afar. Once we talked a bit, the large man said he would go off into the north pole, awaiting death.
Q Who was the large man, and why was he mourning? A. I’m afraid thats too personal to ask. Anyways, i must be going now, i have appointments to get to. Goodbye.
The dangers of the sins of pride show the lust, envy, and some anger. Where pride could be the most deadliest thing due to ruling our lives, in which we push our faith to the side and thinking of a harsh spirit where one can damage our loved ones and church bodies because we often speak of other’s sin with a sense irritation, frustration and or with judgement. With pride, we tend to become the utmost importance and not focusing our attention with our hearts. We tend to appear superficially on the outside. Living with pride in our hearts gives others a perception of our reality. Also the dangers of vengeance where by seeking it could make you feel worse, could backfire, get caught in an endless revenge cycle. Knowing that revenge is a powerful thing because it signifies the justice of a certain situation that you want to get back at. As to where many people think that getting revenge on something or someone would make them feel better. Not knowing what they are getting themselves into and not knowing how to handle it.
By Samara Martinez Knowing that both Victor and the monster had some anger and revenge in them. Victor and the monster have too much similarities including the anger. The monster was created as a reflection of himself including his anger to society. Physically there is no resemble but they both shared same personality. Both Victor and the monster try to help their love ones, however they don’t reflect to be loving persons. They both try to be accepted into society showing kindness and helping people. Being rejected by society due to his ugly physical appearance. To where in the end show that the monster tried to make things right but failed. Due to the fact that he regretted doing all the bad things he did in the past.
You wonder why I do not come to you Your presence makes my heart shatter like glass The pieces on the ground show sky so blue The shards gently sprawled across the soft grass A small, broken fragment cuts my finger Drop Drop Drop goes the blood from my pale skin I wish I could stay; watch the red linger My heart tries not to ask what might have been Why did my dreams have to be tied to you Knotted, twisted up in your web of lies I knew that they were too good to be true The fire died out from within your eyes Please do not enter my broken world again All you know how to do is cause me pain — Danya Selber
We deeply apologize! I agree, frankenstein wasn’t the best person I mean look at the crimes he committed. We look for the bad things so that we have reason to stray from the truth. We stray from the fact that the monster wasn’t raised as a normal child and he didn’t know that he looked so different. We describe him as gigantic, eight feet tall, deformed, and has black lips. Many people would see someone different they pity them, but in this case it was different because he is a monster. I equally feel that if were to meet the monster I would feel afraid of but it’s because i’ve been taught to steer clear of ominous looking people since I was young. The monster isn’t dire but is a person worthy of compassion and can be gentle. His creator would saw nasty things behind his back, saying he had a “ghastly grin” and is a “miserable monster”. Victor is basically saying that he is ugly, and the monster itself is
By Desiree Swoop evil and that we should do nothing but hate him. We feel bad that his “father” despises him. His father even exclaims he’s a “Devil” and a “vile insect” which are such far- fetched accusations because the monster has yet to do any harm to him. We learn that we have been judging a book by its cover and that’s not at all what we should be doing. Victor sprang on him and flung his hands from his eyes with violence. We should be sympathetic because the monster had no idea what he was or what he was capable of, and all he was trying to do was to find someone who would see him as a person and try to understand him. Victor disregards any sympathy he should feel for the monster because the monster doesn’t know what he is and immediately despises him. We should be trying to understand the monster instead of trying to harm him.
