Spotting the Signs
Watching your baby grow and develop is an absolute joy, isn't it?
They're sprouting up, learning new skills, and hitting milestone after milestone. But when it comes to the big move from the high chair to the booster seat, you might be left scratching your head, wondering if it's the right time.
Here are some tell-tale signs that your little one might be ready to graduate from their high chair.
Outgrown it: Picture this - your baby is looking a little too snug in their high chair, their legs might be dangling over the edge, or they might even be squeezed into the seat.
Perhaps your kiddo is fussy when being put in their high chair, or they resist getting in it altogether. If you notice these signs, it could be an indication that they've physically outgrown their high chair and it's time for a change.
Skillful Eater: Gone are the days of purees and mashed bananas; your little munchkin is now confidently feeding themselves. They've mastered the art of the spoon and can keep most of the meal on their plate and off the floor! They're also able to reach their cup and plate without relying on the high chair tray. Their newfound eating skills are a clear sign of their readiness for a booster seat.
Family Time: If your little one shows eagerness to join you and the rest of the family at the dinner table, it's a big hint that they're ready to leave the high chair behind. They may be trying to join in on the conversation, adding their adorable babble to the family chat.
This desire for inclusivity is a great indicator that they might be ready for a booster seat, which will let them feel more included at mealtime.
