Attenborough nature reserve is located 4.3 mi (7 km) south-west of Nottingham city centre. The reserve now covers 145 hectares of lakes, wetland, grassland and scrub. It sits at the confluence of the River Erewash and the Trent. The station only takes 12 minutes on foot. There are many rare species such as Sand Martin, Starling and Grey heron living in this reserve. The iconic River Trent and tranquil trails along the way make it an ideal place to get fresh air and connect with nature.
