Corona Shopping Centers Poised for Success/Change

Small Business Week Reminds us to Celebrate Shop Local Initiatives

W

etail is changing; no doubt Amazon and other e-retailers have made an impact. Despite this, people still care about shopping as an experience. Now it is in the hands of retailers/centers to give people what they want. Oliver Chen, managing director, retail and luxury sector at Cowen and Company, says that retailers must give people something to do, then they will shop. But shopping can’t be the thing to do. Centers need to be convenient, curate relevance, and create a culture for the community. Retail, and more importantly the American Shopping Center, is NOT DEAD.

e are excited to announce this year’s National Small Business Week, May 3-9, 2020! For more than 50 years, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.
