Legislative Action cont’d from page 1 of 14 local chambers recognized in June for its excellence in business advocacy and helping its members comply with California employment laws. The chambers receiving the CalChamber’s 2022 President’s Circle Award were announced during the CalChamber Capitol Summit in Sacramento. “Our top local chamber partners play leading roles as community problem solvers and the voice of business on public policy,” said Jennifer Johnson, CalChamber director of local chamber relations. “We commend them for all their hard work over the last year fighting on behalf of California business.” The largest local delegation to the State Business Summit, the Corona Chamber had 15 members attend. In addition to the events organized by the California Chamber, the Corona Chamber organized its own strategy sessions and events with Board of Equalization member Ted Gaines, Assemblymembers Kelly Seyarto (R-Murrieta) and Thurston Smith (R-Hesperia), and experts in taxation, regulation, and local policy. This year’s event, organized in

an environment where the Governor himself came down with Covid and had to cancel his participation, had more elected officials and tax experts sit with us and explain the direction of policy, than in any other year! We are seeing great progress every week with the committee and your commitment makes that possible. The Legislative Action Committee meets every Wednesday on Zoom at 10:00 AM.
