Taking the CPSI Exam
NRPA’s Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) program provides the most comprehensive training on playground safety.
NRPA’s Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) program is the industry’s leading certification program in playground safety. The CPSI program provides the most comprehensive and up-to-date training on playground safety issues, including hazard identification, equipment specifications, surfacing requirements and risk management methods.
To prepare for the exam, candidates are encouraged to participate in the blended learning course — a combination of the CPSI Online Learning Course and live training sessions conducted virtually by CPSI instructors — or take the CPSI online prep course (nrpa.org/CPSI). The CPSI exam is a computer-based exam that is available at more than 200 testing centers across the United States and internationally. The exam contains 100 questions — 95 scored and five unscored pre-test questions.
