The shaded and scenic 10-mile walking trail along Victoria Avenue, one of Riverside’s historic treasures, offers runners and cyclists the opportunity to indulge in the smell of seasonal orange blossoms and fresh citrus. Runners and cyclists that seek the challenge of competition, or just besting their own personal records, can take advantage of the many running, cycling, and triathlon events offered in Riverside. Residents and visitors alike can complete the Run Riverside Challenge by joining hundreds of others to compete in the Mission Inn Run, the Citrus Heritage Run, and the Hometown Heroes Honor Run in a single season. to ride the many bike paths, bike trails and scenic highways in and around Riverside. The city has it all for the beginning rider to the half marathon runner and everyone in between. MOTORSPORTS Caption Riverside has always been synonymous with speed from the days when the legendary pits of Riverside International Raceway played host to the fastest drivers from the NASCAR Winston Cup Series and Formula 1. Although the original raceway is no more, Riverside continues the high octane tradition of its past as a hub of motorsports in Inland Southern California, including the Auto Club Speedway where NASCAR, INDYCAR, and NHRA drivers heat up the road. Visitors looking for their own exciting experience can head to Adams Motorsports Park where they can jump into an open-wheeled kart and race against friends and family. The last person to cross the finish line buys dinner that night in Downtown Riverside! For even more thrills, the nights heat up as local drivers take their highly-tuned cars around the track in drift and time attack challenges. AT SPRING MOUNTAIN RANCH, THE FIRST MASTER PLAN TO RISE IN THE GREATER RIVERSIDE AREA IN MORE THAN 20 YEARS, THE COMMUNITY IS THOUGHTFULLY DESIGNED WITH PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AT ITS CORE.
With 251 acres of open space, including a six-acre community park, hiking trails, biking, running, and a six-mile-long pedestrian trail, Spring Mountain Ranch puts quality of outdoor living at the forefront. Spanning across nearly 785 acres and slated for 1,410 single-family homes, this new master-planned community by iStar Residential has been designed to accommodate residents’ active lifestyles. That’s because those relocating to Riverside are often seeking something beyond a growing, engaged community — they’re also drawn to more room to live. Spring Mountain Ranch addresses this
desire for wide-open space and city convenience by being situated ten minutes from downtown Riverside, a city gaining national attention for its amenities and services. Forbes recently ranked Riverside as one of the top 10 hippest places to live, with the city’s indices ranking high in the cool-factor. Arts and culture abounds, thanks to major universities and a built-out downtown region, while diversity, recreation and local eats all out-weigh the competition. This combined with the aforementioned local access to jobs and outdoor space give buyers at Spring Mountain Ranch the opportunity to live in a community that artistically bridges city and country living. To achieve this balance, Spring Mountain Ranch will couple with only the strongest builders; this is why iStar Residential selected KB Home to deliver the first phase of homes at the community. KB Home has opened for sale at Presidio Point and Mission Gate, which offer new homes with a variety of open space floor plans and designs to appeal to a wide range of homebuyer needs across two neighborhoods. With prices starting from the mid $300s, homes in these

MARRIOTT RIVERSIDE THE MARRIOTT RIVERSIDE AT THE CONVENTION CENTER IS THE CONVENTION CENTER HEADQUARTERS HOTEL
A convenient location and exceptional guest service are what sets the Marriott Riverside at the Convention Center apart from other area hotels. The full service property in historic downtown Riverside offers 292 guest rooms, including 24 suites, 14,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. The hotel features casual, contemporary cuisine at the C3 Restaurant and Bar. The Marriott Riverside at the Convention Center is the Convention Center headquarters hotel providing everything guests and meeting planners could expect, and more. Owned and professionally managed by Pinnacle Hotels USA, the property has certified wedding and event planners on staff, offers tech-enabled meeting spaces, intuitive guest services and onsite covered parking. Following in line with Marriott’s promise “to host you brilliantly,” the well-trained staff of the Marriott Riverside strives to make every event and every guest’s stay unforgettable and effortless. In some areas, that means using the latest in technology to improve the guest experience. “We’re mobile,” says Barry Renker, general manager. “Guests may check in and check out via their mobile devices. We’re the only hotel brand currently doing that. And we’re the only hotel with a meeting services app.” Marriott is known as a leader in meetings and events, and Marriott Riverside’s meeting services app is another way the hotel is
living up to that standard. The app allows meeting planners to connect in real time with the property staff on any mobile device. “It’s a dynamic way for our customers and our associates to connect before, during and after their events,” says Renker. The app offers planners instant access to staff, making it easier to manage meetings while on site. “They never have to leave their seats,” says Renker. “For

example, if the temperature is too warm or too cool in their meeting room, they can connect with staff through the app to get the issue resolved. They don’t have to leave the meeting room and their other responsibilities to locate a staff member to solve their problem.” The Marriott Riverside also can provide meeting planners with a complimentary web page where attendees can find information about the event and reserve their rooms. The hotel’s location at the Riverside Convention Center is perfect for conference and event attendees. But any guest will enjoy the convenience of being in the heart of downtown. The hotel is located within walking distance of some of the city’s prominent attractions like the Mission Inn, the Fox Performing Arts Center, Main Street Riverside and Antique Shops and local museums. The University of California Riverside campus is just two miles away. Whether you are planning an event or a business or personal stay in Riverside, the Marriott Riverside at the Convention Center offers everything you need for a comfortable and convenient stay with personable service that exceeds your expectations.
