POTTERY MUSEUM While we look toward the future, preserving our past like the traditional craftsmanship is also significant. As it is transmitted not only skills but also culture and the wealth of knowledge, especially pottery which has the story beside people life. However, the present pottery museum is unsuccessful to deliver them and could cause the permanent loss in the future. In response to issues, the project aims to develop the pottery museum in the next 50 years that can deliver our past and offer the maximum experience for visitors. This project will be designed in Thai culture as a sample, under the concept of “Process of making pottery”. The concept brings focuses not only to interior design as organization and sequence of the narration in the museum but also to learning methods to deliver culture and experience of making pottery from the first to last process. This means visitors will not only look but also learn and create their own pottery in the traditional way. Moreover, strong consideration will design diverse atmospheres and environments for each content and function in each exhibition to express “imperfect to perfect”. Meantime, a small-scale community as a local community in and around will be developed into a part of the project as it is considered as a root of people and culture.

M COCOON
M PAVILION
MPavilion 2017 is a public venue with an intimate scale. Located in the Queen Victoria Gardens in the center of Melbourne’s Southbank Arts Precinct, the pavilion intends to draw the community in and act as a cultural laboratory. A temporary structure that, along with providing space for performances, entertainment and events, can also perform itself. The pavilion’s ground surface is shaped by two tribunes, one fixed, the other movable, which together determine the setup of the performance space. The smaller tribune can rotate, allowing it to shift functions from seating to stage and blur the distinction between actor and audience.

M COCOON To design a new public space to suit in Queen Victoria Garden in regard to identifying more specific for the area, “M COCOON” twisted and cantilevering into a protective shell be designed differently from MPavilion in term of form and structure. It will be located opposite MPavillion to make a contrast in the area as well as explore the possibility for the future of parametric design with the modular structure. The gesture itself is a three dimensional mobius form which is structured from ceramic module. The visual pattern is generated to create a simultaneous moiré and parallax effect. As the public approaches and engages with the cocoon, the visual field is modified and interrupted by the interference created by motion and the layer of modular structure. The eye continuously covers the never ending surface of the mobius inviting dynamic motion from the user. The light filters through the ceramic module generating an ambiguous relationship between the notions of inside and outside as well as furniture and shelter. As moving around the cocoon, new interference patterns are continuously created and destroyed though this mechanism; thus the cocoon creates a responsive, interactive experience.

SWIN HOSTEL A new hostel for students of Swinburne University who whether need short term stay as a matter emergency or for attending academic event at the university. This hostel is located at 4 Paterson Street near Hawthorn campus. This university hostel is an idea of providing the safety and relaxing place for students with private accommodated space and shared facilities as library, shared kitchen, workshop room and self- apartment unit. Its structure is constructed with the use of modular structure and systematic aspect of parametric design. These provide not only the sense of simplicity but also the sense of dramatic from wood parametric ceiling and bookshelves to students can enjoy the place.

AMAROO GARDEN The design intent is to design public space at Rose zone (dementia unit) that residents could encourage more and have better activity. Therefore, everyone get involved in the activity and be longed into a community as well as provide the ability to do daily life independently without feeling discriminated or unwelcomed. Also, to improve the quality of space and reduce the unused space that happen in the existing building and allow residents connect to the nature. However, the design space needs to be considered about the DEP rules and universal design in order to provide safe space to residents.

CALL CENTER OFFICE To design the call center office with an open space, understanding its culture environment is important which lead to offer employees’ workplace that encourages health, well-being, collaboration and productivity. The call center’s culture environment is different to a normal office. In this case, the employees need privacy and it is individual work more than collaboration. Therefor, “INTERLOCKING SPACE” is brought to design the call center office in order to improve the environment that suits their work as well as to allow visitors could easily use service area without bother the employee, yet connect two users by sharing service area, corridor and visualization
