Tips for a Safe and Bountiful Harvest Make sure all factory-installed guards are in place and and repaired if needed. Properly store chemicals in a cool, safe, secure area. Make sure all farm workers and family members know the poison symbols. Follow the NO SEAT - NO RIDER rule. Turn off all equipment before attempting to repair or dislodge foreign materials. Don't allow children to play in the back of grain trucks - whether the grain is flowing or not. If you have old wells on your property, make sure they properly covered. Do not leave your machinery running when unattended. Always check in front of and behind machinery before you begin to operate it. Make sure everyone knows not to wear loose clothing around machinery.

During harvest, farmers give up meals at their tables so we can have meals at ours.

Make sure all farm workers and family members know the poison symbols. Follow the NO SEAT - NO RIDER rule. Turn off all equipment before attempting to repair or dislodge foreign materials. Don't allow children to play in the back of grain trucks - whether the grain is flowing or not. If you have old wells on your property, make sure they properly covered. Do not leave your machinery running when unattended. Always check in front of and behind machinery before you begin to operate it. Make sure everyone knows not to wear loose clothing around machinery.
