Modern Festive Decorating
Welcome
Since the Christmas countdown has already started, now is the ideal time to plan the festivities, gift giving and decorating. For some the temptation of a traditional green and red themed Christmas is irresistible, traditions are a sacred thing, but there is nothing wrong with looking at them from a different angle. This year could be a chance to break from the old and embrace a fresh, new, modern take on the Christmas season. The good news is that this decision does not have to be an expensive exercise, in fact with a few clever ideas and some creative thinking you too could create a magical, and unforgettable Christmas. It all begins with a white palette and the addition of a few bright colours. Decorating in white with just a few elements is not only trendy but can look absolutely beautiful. Add some gold or silver and you will be amazed at how you can transform the look and feel of your Christmas decorating. Now all you need is some fun, festive projects in the mix and you are all set. Thankfully this is where we can help. Christmas decorations should create a feeling of magic. Even if they represent traditional symbols, they can be imaginative and creative. From monochromatic Christmas decor to vividly coloured holiday decorations and ornaments, this issue of Kindred Stitches has what you need to transform your home into a miniature festival of joy. What better way to welcome the Christmas spirit.
Warmly Lenna & Janice
Since I can remember I have always been around fabrics and crafts. I have grown up to love and be inspired by all things fabric, textiles, buttons, ribbons and embellishments. It is a great buzz to encourage others to develop a love for sewing and stitching.
