Enlarge My Territory Asking God to enlarge my territory is something that speaks volumes in my life. I remember in my younger years, around the age of 16, I would consistently pray the prayer of Jabez. I had received a book written by Bruce Wilkinson called The Prayer of Jabez: Breaking Through to the Blessed Life and I would read that book over and over again. I began to understand that what I asked of God “indeed” would have no choice but to come forth and happen because I believed with my whole heart. I absolutely have always believed, and had Faith in the manifestation of God and his evident power. God is so much bigger than we could ever imagine, so asking him to enlarge our territory makes complete sense. Enlarge simply means to make bigger. I encourage you to make your praise and worship a commensurate praise and worship! Its time out for asking God for things or asking for a situation to work in our favor and we patty cake him as if that’s enough. When we give reverence unto God he deserves to receive a commensurate honor which means we ought to make the praise and worship we render unto him the proportion, degree or size of what we expect him to do! I’m reminded of Hebrews 11:1, which says “Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” One
must understand what Faith does. Clearly, when we get the understanding of what something does, then we can understand what it is. To understand what Faith does, activate it in your daily life. Faith convinces us of things we have never seen, yet we believe. Believers must embed Faith within themselves to the point that resonance (a positive emotional response) can be felt, and a peace can take place mentally, physically, and spiritually. So let us remember 1 Chronicles 4:9-10. Jabez was named out of being born in sorrow, but Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that thou would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou would keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!” And God granted him that which he requested. Let God grant you what you request unto Him. The prayers that we submit before the Father will not be answered in our time. But if you believe and keep your trust in God with the mind of Christ and let go of all doubt, whatever you ask shall come to pass in God’s time.

Pursue Christ Prophetic Encounter
The Word that the Lord gave me for the month of February is simply, “Pursue Christ!” Oftentimes life will happen and shake us up a bit, but the Lord is letting us know how important it is to pursue Him no matter what transpires in our lives. The Hebrew word for pursue is radaph, which means to follow or chase. Therefore, in this New Year people of God we must be in pursuit of Christ and the things that will bring Him the glory in our lives. We must pursue Christ in every aspect of our lives especially when it comes to making major decisions this year. In fact, I hear the Lord saying, “Don’t be hasty in your decision-making this year!” People of God, we can’t become distracted by the things of the world, which encourages us to pursue things like wealth and material things. However, as kingdom minded people we must apply Matthew 6:33 to our lives, which says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God,
and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” In other words, as believers we must seek the kingdom of God before anything else because the Lord has EVERYTHING that we need and nothing can compare to Him. This month I’d like to encourage everyone to pursue Christ like never before in your prayer lives, worship time, biblical study time, and when in need of direction. Don’t allow the things of the world to get you off course readers. God is calling each of us to go higher and deeper in our personal relationships with Him, but in order to go higher we must be in pursuit of Christ. I guarantee you that great things will occur in your life the more you pursue the One who holds the blueprint for your life.

critical examination Understanding God’s Word is foundational
stewardship {dress and keep the garden}
Genesis Introduction
The book of Genesis, in Hebrew means rê’shı ̂yth- the first in place time order and rank. H7225 (Gen 1:1)
Surrounding Context In five days God created everything productive for man to survive. (Gen. 1:1-25) When God placed man in the Garden it was for a specific task and that was to tend and take care of it. Gen. 2:15 tells us God put Adam in Eden to tend and keep it. Dress means - aw-bad’- work, serve, labor. (H5647) Keep means shâmar- hedge, guard or attend. (H8104) God’s intent is that mankind would be productive in all they placed their hands to do.
Original Audience Those who came out of Egypt after 430 years of bondage. These words were very valuable to Israel because they could see how God called them to be owners from the beginning.
Today’s Audience Today we are no longer under the Adamic, Noahic, or Abrahamic covenant but in the covenant made by Christ’s blood.
Heb. 9:25 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant... (NIV) Our dominion comes from a heart submitted to God first and then and only then, can we truly walk in good stewardship. While management does not save, it is an underling principle in the life of a believer. Your DNA carries a special map called purpose that can only be lived to its fullest with God in you. The power of God works in earthen vessels to accomplish what we can’t in and of ourselves. The gifts that God has in you are to be properly managed meaning, only used to advance the Kingdom of God. Your gifts, children, finances and marriage are not for your glory but for God’s glory. When we properly manage and take care of what we have it gives praise to our creator. True stewardship is taking care of every area of your life. Proper balance is important to God. According to Matthew 25:23, if you are faithful over the few, God will cause you to prosper. God bless you. Pastor Sharina George

28 Days of Blessings Prophetess Kimberly M. Fleming
The month of February is the shortest month of the year yet loaded with all kind of observances and awareness days. First we have the main observances Black History Month, Valentine’s Day, American Heart Month, and Presidents’ Day. Here are some that don’t get a lot of recognition but are equally important during this month. Oral hygiene awareness, Teen dating violence awareness month, Eating disorders awareness, AMD/Low vision awareness, National donor day, Youth leadership month, Friendship month, Library lovers month, we have Groundhog Day, Random Acts of Kindness day, and Give Kids A Smile Day. All of these things are packed in this short month of 28 days. All very important to many. As the Lord dropped this in my spirit I asked Him what is the significance of this and this is what He said. Just like this is a short month full of special
awareness days and month long observances so will MY blessings be for my children! Now if you look all of these observances and awareness days require that you do something about it in order to get the full benefit of it. Case in point American Heart month requires that you get your heart checked out, eat a more heart friendly diet, take care of yourself. National donor day requires that you donate blood, become a organ donor, Valentine’s Day requires you to have a sweetheart, Black History Month requires you to learn the history of African Americans and we can go on but my point is you have to do something in order to enjoy the benefits. Same way in the Spirit, to enjoy the benefits of God’s blessing we have to do something. So many times we want the blessings of God but we don’t want to give Him what He wants from us. God wants His time with us. Set
aside a special time every day to spend with Him, seeking Him first, making God a priority in your day will cause you to reap awesome benefits from Him. This will be a month full of God’s presence, His glory filling your home and your lives. A month where the blessings of God will run you down and overtake you. Twenty eight days full of His promises being fulfilled in your life. What I love about God is He is not bound by time, meaning it’s not just gonna stop after this month but He will keep blessing you month after month, week after week, day after day. You just give Him what He wants give Him ALL you, and make Him first! Matthew 6:33. Be blessed! Prophetess Kimberly M. orship is my direct contact to the heart of God. Worship is how I pray, Worship is how I release and request. It’s how I converse with Jesus. Many times, it’s the only way I know how to speak to him when words can’t seem to express just what I feel or what I am trying to say. I’m not one to have majestic prayers or perfect words of encouragement, but when you place me before a piano and just the presence of God, everything that needs to be said and heard comes to fruition by allowing the Holy Spirit to sing and play through me. There are times in my worship when I feel that no one can understand but only the ear of God. I feel that without worship, I am speechless and without true satisfaction and purpose. I thank God for the many gifts he has blessed me with in the area of music. Music in many ways is the ultimate way to encourage a congregation and uplift those who need to be strengthened. It connects strait to the heart and mind of the people and can cause them to open their hearts to sing and dance without fear and with true liberty. It can bring people to unity and love when it is God at the center of it all.
I am now coming into a new season of worship. The lord has now allowed me to enter into a prophetic kind of worship. There are times during worship where I would feel a shift in the atmosphere,
The Heart of a
Worshipper It would cause me to stop singing for a moment as the lord would allow me to feel and hear what needs to be said in the way of encouragement. There are also moments I would look into the congregation and the lord would show me someone specific and ask me to “Worship them through”. As I would focus my worship around them I would watch the lord move in that person and cause them to surrender in tears of relief and peace.
The lord would direct me into songs that they need to hear even if it strays away from the original list of songs picked out for that day. I am not one to question the holy spirit or ask why, I let my self be led at all times during worship. After all, I
have committed myself to being his mouthpiece and willing vessel. There are often times the lord would have me flow into a song and sound he would want me to just play on the piano without words. In a sense, Prophetic playing. The lord would move in the place just as much as he would if I was singing. I now am letting the lord strengthen and teach me still in the office of the prophetic and am excited to see where he will take me from this point in my walk with him.

Running Against the Odds
Andrea, light-skinned, long hair, and a smile of pure beauty, was destined to be someone special from the time she was born. At the right time, she will become any mans American dream. Time will only tell what is ahead, but whatever it is, it will be special. The doctor pulled her out of her mother’s stomach due to a cesarean section. Andrea was crying, but not the way normal newborns did. Immediately the doctor knew something was wrong with her. After several test, it was found that Andrea blood-sugar level was severely low and needed immediate attention. Dad looked on with concern, but also carried a helpless feeling inside. Mom was still sedated from the delivery and was totally unaware of what was going on with her child. Although Andrea doesn’t have any issues now with her blood-sugar levels, she did have one other issue though. She was diagnosed with a disorder called Perthes disease. Perthes disease is a rare childhood condition that affects the hip. It occurs when the blood supply to the rounded
head of the thighbone is temporarily disrupted. As time went by, it became more and more difficult for Andrea’s parents to accept one leg being longer than the other, and a noticeable limp that she began to walk with. Over time, she started to experience pain and couldn’t even sit “Indian Style” as other kids her age. That was only the surface of the troubles headed her way. One day on a cold, gloomy day, Andrea, her older sister, and her mom were driving westbound heading to school. Her family drove a bright red Dodge Intrepid and it could be seen from anywhere. After being gone from home less than five minutes, a gray SUV lost control and slammed into the side of their car sending them in a world spin. Andrea’s father arrived on the scene in total dismay and immediately ran to the car that her mother was still stuck in. He looked in the back of the car and didn’t see Andrea or her sister. In a frantic cry, he began yelling out “where are my babies?”
“Please tell me that you are alright,” Andrea’s father shouted to her mother. “It’s going to be alright, I’m standing right here with you.”
gency room along with her sister. Her mother was taken to a different hospital. They laid her on a table stretched out and began to try and stabilize her.
Watching as they cut Andrea’s mother out of the car, her father was pulled onto the fire truck by a rescue firefighter. There he seen both his daughters, but something was wrong. Andrea’s older sister ran and jumped up on her father, but Andrea, vomiting on her and her car seat, she didn’t respond to him as she normally did.
Her sister was released to family members after they treated her. Andrea was placed in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the doctors didn’t know if she would make it. Doctors were all over the room drawing blood from her, cleaning the vomit off her, and taking x-rays.
“Daddy is here baby and your going to be alright,” her father said in disbelief. “Is daddy baby alright? Wake up baby, keep your eyes open.” Andrea was rushed to the emer-
“The x-rays show she has two skull fractures,” the doctor said. “She has one on each side and that is dangerous if we don’t monitor her. Don’t worry, we will take care of her.” Andrea spent two long weeks in the PICU learning how to walk straight again. For the first time, her family had experienced a very traumatic event that dealt with her. Finally, she was able to go home to be with her family and friends. At a very young age, Andrea has become a person who believes and trusts in God. She prays for herself and her family often and isn’t ashamed of what God has done for her. Her story became her testimony at the age of three. Today Andrea is 13-yearsold and she is a tenacious basketball player. She is strong, healthy and a beautiful young lady. She also is at the top of her eighth grade class.

A 101 Guide to Restoring Vitality
N
ow that the New Year has rung in, many people will contemplate embarking on a detoxification and/or cleansing program. These two terms are used interchangeably, but truly have different meanings. First, let’s clarify the meaning of these terms. Cleansing means “to wash clean; to purge.” Detoxification is defined as: “the metabolic process by which toxic substances are eliminated from the body, rendering substances from toxic to
non-toxic.” The former works gently with the body and kick starts the eliminative processes bringing the body to a more balanced state. The latter requires more energy and nutritional support to biochemically activate the body’s detoxification pathways, converting harmful toxins to substances that can safely be excreted from the body. Detoxification and cleansing go hand in hand. Cleansing is undoubtedly an adjunct to detoxification and one will get optimal results, with their detox program, when including cleansing therapies. However, cleansing can be done on a continual basis, on its own, to keep the body balanced and free from excesses. We live in a culture of excess. People tend to eat too much, drink too much and overly stress to the point of bodily imbalance and

Cleansing is a way to counteract excesses in lifestyle. On that note, where are we being exposed to toxins that need detoxing/cleansing and how do you achieve detox/cleansing? We are all exposed to toxins on a daily basis. Toxins come from our food and
water, the environment (outside and inside our homes/jobs) hygiene and house cleaning products, medications, alcohol, pathogens (in the body), and our own metabolic processes. It is impossible to completely avoid toxins, however, they can be reduced and managed. Detoxification is usually achieved through the supplementation of specific nutrients, either orally or intravenously, as well as, diet modifica-

The importance of
By Stacey Greene
intimacy
In 2:18 He says it is not good for man to be alone, so He makes a helpmeet or helpmate for him, and we all know that in 2:24 a man is to leave his parents, cleave to a wife and become one flesh.
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. I looked up the definition of intimacy and it included everything from familiarity, closeness, rapport, and affection all the way to sexual intercourse. For the sake of this article, let’s talk about the later, the ultimate union between a married man and woman. Many Christians argue about the importance of intimacy in a marriage and exactly where it belongs in the scheme of the relationship. God starts right out in the first book of the Bible referencing to its importance. In Genesis 1:28 God blesses man and woman commanding them to be fruitful and increase in number. In 2:18 He says it is not good for man to be alone, so He makes a helpmeet or helpmate for him, and we all know that in 2:24 a man is to leave his parents, cleave to a wife and become one flesh. There must be a certain level of intimacy that comes with becoming one flesh and with being fruitful. Still, the questions bounce around in our heads: How often should we be intimate? What is
acceptable or okay in the bedroom, in the eyes of God? Is there a list of what we are allowed to do to each other? What if one of us wants to make love and the other one doesn’t? What if what he wants makes me feel uncomfortable? Sadly, there is no list we can check off about what is acceptable in each relationship. The Bible gives us guidelines, yes, but a list, no. Think about how Philippians 2:34 says Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests but also to the interests of others. This would answer the question about doing something that feels uncomfortable. Your partner should never ask you to do something that feels uncomfortable to you. Make sure that you are open with your spouse about any past abuse or trauma that you may have had that may interfere with sexual intimacy. Often one partner has no idea why the other had a bad reaction or an aversion to something he or she thought was “no big deal”. My favorite is the entire section on marriage in 1 Corinthians. Read from 7:1-11 and
you will see that not only does a woman’s body belong to her husband, but his body belongs to her as well. Husbands should fulfil their duty to their wives just as the wife should fulfil her duty to her husband. This clears up the question about making love even when you are not in the mood. Sometimes you have to “take one for the team”. Believe me, there have been many nights where I know my husband needed an intimate moment more than I thought I did. I would oblige out of respect for my husband’s desire, and miraculously, along the course of the evening, I would end up enjoying myself much more than I had expected. Always be open to sharing yourself with your mate. As your marriage evolves, remember that your lovemaking will too. Don’t expect you or your spouse to always want the same position, duration, or even frequency. As you learn new ways to pray together, raise children together, and adapt to the various situations life throws at you, you will also find that your intimacy may also change and evolve. That is part of the fun of being married. It is never the same day. When it does become a burden, it is not time to give up, but merely a time to seek help and pray about a solution. Solidify your marriage in all ways and
you will never go thirsty. Song of Songs 8:7 Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away. Stacey Greene
Love Through Sacrifice Chief Antonio Stitt
T
o say the phrase “I Love You” is so very easy to do. I can tell anyone “I love you” or “I care about you.” The question is: Do you really mean it? Giving of oneself is the purest expression of love for another human being. Stepping out of your comfort zone—doing something for another that causes an unwanted change in your routine—shows that person exactly how much you love, care for, and/or respect them. This is called “Sacrifice.” When you are asked to sacrifice for another—whether it is loaning money, babysitting, giving a friend a ride to work everyday for a couple of weeks while their car is being repaired, or whatever the need may be— the way you feel inside about doing that thing to help that person shows exactly what you have for them in your heart. You may have a degree of love or compassion for that person, but the question becomes: At what level is your love or compassion? If the situation happens again, and again, would you be there to assist? Listen, I believe sacrificing for another human being is a great opportunity to show that person exactly what level of love and care you have for them. When I am called upon for help, I get excited because the greater the need or sacrifice, the greater the opportunity to

express my love and or compassion for them. I recall many times telling friends and even family how much I love them, how much I care for them, and I always thought they believed me and knew that I loved them. Some time ago, my cousin was in a situation and needed help. When I was called upon to assist him, I responded swiftly and without question. He was totally amazed and surprised that I would go to the lengths I did to help him, and that I wanted nothing in return. I say this to say that nothing is as powerful as actual “Sacrifice.” We all should be poised and ready for the opportunity to show our friends and loved ones just how much we love and care for them.
