The Blessing of Betrayal Minister Jucinta Jones
Many of us within the body of Christ have been on the receiving end of betrayal. When the subject of betrayal comes to mind, it may ignite various emotions, such as sadness, fear, and anger within those who have endured betrayal. The word “betray” means to hurt someone by doing something morally wrong, being disloyal, or failing to provide help. In other words, betrayal is a violation of trust from people who we have been close to, such as family, friends, colleagues, and even those within our churches. It’s important to note that if betrayal were to come from our enemies, then it wouldn’t be considered betrayal since we already know that our enemies are inclined to wound us. However, the pain is greater when it comes from people that we confide in, because we believe that they can truly be trusted with intimate details of our lives. However, even in the midst of being betrayed as believers, there are times when we can count it as a blessing. How can betrayal be a blessing? I encourage every reader to reflect on Jesus Christ and how he was betrayed by Judas Iscariot (ref. Luke 6:13). It’s very clear in scripture that Judas was one of the twelve Apostles, and he received teaching from Christ as well as witnessed Him performing great miracles. However, Judas was still a traitor to the Son of the living God. He betrayed Christ, and that betrayal led to Christ’s crucifixion. However, this type of betrayal was necessary to the fulfillment of Christ’s mission on earth. This type of betrayal was indeed the will of the Father. View the full legnth article at www.kdcmag.com

KIMBERLY Fleming Decrees & Declarations There are times in your life when you have to stand completely on the Word of God to encourage yourself, but you don’t know where to begin. Here are a few scriptures that you can decree/prophesy over yourself daily. As you do this, God will give you more. The Word of God is a sure Word of prophecy; it will come to pass!!! I decree and declare, according to Proverbs 10:7, that my memory is BLESSED! NO mental disease, NO memory loss, NO Alzheimer’s, and NO dementia can attack my mind.
1 Corinthians 2:16 says I have the mind of Christ; therefore, my mind is sound, sharp, focused, and all distractions are gone. I wear the helmet of salvation to protect my mind from every negative thought that would stop Your plans and purpose for me. According to Ephesians 1:18, my eyes are open, and I am enlightened. I see things and people the way God sees them. I declare according to Isaiah 53:5, that by Your stripes I am healed from every physical, mental, emotional wound and illness. Sickness and disease are far from me. According to 3 John 1:2, I am prosperous and in good health even as my soul prospers. I decree the spirit of stagnation is broken off my life, and that I will experience progress and acceleration over my life. I’m expecting unlikely Godly alliances, and divine connections. I am moving from frustration to fulfillment, from pain to purpose. Psalm 30:7; Proverbs 8:35 & 12:2; Luke 2:52; I have the FAVOR of God on my life. Psalm 5:12 says it surrounds me as a shield. I walk in FAVOR with God and man.

s most of you already know, I am the Founder/Ceo of Shield Buckler Coaching and Mentoring Inc. I coach and mentor parents on how to improve parenting skills. I coach and mentor kids on behavior issues; and young men and women on ways to create a plan of success for their lives. In conversation with parents, I have often heard the concern of the parent not knowing where their child is, because they’ve run away. Then weeks or sometimes months later finding out that the child had been harbored at one of their friend’s house.
Here are a few questions and comments some of my clients/ parents had for parents that harbor missing kids in their home. 1. How would you feel, if you found out that your child had been hiding out at a friends house, but their parent never called you to see if you approved? 2. Have you ever thought about how much I worry about my child, and whether or not they are safe? 3. How can you think it’s okay for your son/daughter to have their girlfriend or boyfriend stay overnight UNSUPERVISED, AND WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF HIS OR HER PARENT? 4. What kind of parent allows their teenage sons girlfriend to not only spend the night, but sleep in the same bed? 5. My daughter is a runaway. When I watch the news, I am always afraid that I’m going to hear about my child being found hurt or dead. I wonder if these parents ever think about that, or do they even care.
These are just a few questions/comments parents have shared with me. They are frustrated and angry. I’m a law enforcement executive, and I don’t understand why our legal system does not take action to hold these parents that harbor missing kids accountable. I welcome your feedback and comments on this. chief@ myshieldandbuckler.com www.myshieldandbuckler.com Read the full length article at www.kdcmag.com

Detoxification
A 101 Guide to Restoring Vitality
N
ow that the New Year has rung in, many people will contemplate embarking on a detoxification and/or cleansing program. These two terms are used interchangeably, but truly have different meanings. First, let’s clarify the meaning of these terms. Cleansing means “to wash clean; to purge.” Detoxification is defined as: “the metabolic process by which toxic substances are eliminated from the body, rendering substances from toxic to
non-toxic.” The former works gently with the body and kick starts the eliminative processes bringing the body to a more balanced state. The latter requires more energy and nutritional support to biochemically activate the body’s detoxification pathways, converting harmful toxins to substances that can safely be excreted from the body. Detoxification and cleansing go hand in hand. Cleansing is undoubtedly an adjunct to detoxification and one will get optimal results, with their detox program, when including cleansing therapies. However, cleansing can be done on a continual basis, on its own, to keep the body balanced and free from excesses. We live in a culture of excess. People tend to eat too much, drink too much and overly stress to the point of bodily imbalance and

Cleansing is a way to counteract excesses in lifestyle. On that note, where are we being exposed to toxins that need detoxing/cleansing and how do you achieve detox/cleansing? We are all exposed to toxins on a daily basis. Toxins come from our food and
water, the environment (outside and inside our homes/jobs) hygiene and house cleaning products, medications, alcohol, pathogens (in the body), and our own metabolic processes. It is impossible to completely avoid toxins, however, they can be reduced and managed. Detoxification is usually achieved through the supplementation of specific nutrients, either orally or intravenously, as well as, diet modifica-
