Students should at all times be aware that they are representing the school and conduct themselves accordingly. Pre arranged bedtimes/lights out with MPM and RLE will be observed. It is important that all members of the team are sensitive towrards the relative poverty in South Africa. Drinking of alcoholic drinks e.g. beer or wine, may only take place with a meal and under staff supervision. Spirits may never be consumed. An infringement of this regularion will be considered a serious matter. No smoking is permitted on a school trip. Punctuality and good time keeping is a matter of curtesy. Property can never be secure and the team should keep valuables safe at all times. Pickpockets are active in public places, particularly in Cape Town. It is advisable not to give money to beggars. Seat belts should be worn at all times in cars and coaches where they are available. Swimming and paddling may only take place under supervision.
