SCHOOL LUNCH REMINDER

s I write the sun is shining on a very close cricket match with the MCC with our students, fresh from afternoon school, supporting from the boundary as the 1st XI chase a double century against the clock. Examinations are over and there is a certain degree of nervous anticipation as papers are marked and results returned.

The deadline for changes to School lunch arrangements for the Autumn Term is: 4pm on Tuesday 30 June 2015 It will not be possible to meet requests that arrive after the deadline

The price for a lunch from September is £3.95

Leavers’ Day follows shortly with mixed emotions; relief at seeing another generation of KES students emerge from their A levels intact and still smiling (mostly!) and nostalgia as we say goodbye to an excellent year group.

Please email dinners@kes.hants.sch.uk giving pupil name, tutor group and the change intended No action is required if arrangements are to continue as at present

The pace changes in the final weeks of term with a healthy mix of the Arts Festival, Sports Day, Endeavour, and the Swimming Gala all to look forward to. We hope that the English summer remains kind to us!

Any request using the dinners@kes email address will be acknowledged

Swimming Gala This year sees the Lower School Swimming Gala held again at Southampton University Jubilee Pool on 8 July. Please note that spectator space is limited. Full details can be found here.

The Junior House competition is a highlight of our annual House championship. In addition, it is an integral part of the School educational experience, as it provides opportunities for pupils to learn to play in a team and for them to realise the importance of the individual within the context of a group situation.

The local PCT currently delivers the HPV vaccination programme at KES but DO NOT deliver the Td/IPV or MenC vaccinations. Therefore, parents need to ensure that children receive these vaccines at their GP Surgery at the recommended times, to sustain immunity. Please note: Pupils applying through UCAS will have to have received MenC before they are accepted into universities.
