It is with immense pride and pleasure that I can welcome you to watch our annual Dance Gala featuring many of our talented dancers from across the breadth of the School. I am extremely excited to be able to showcase a wide number of styles in this performance. The performance should give you a glimpse of what goes on day to day in our Dance Studio. Our aim as a department is to celebrate all styles and abilities in an inclusive, welcoming, and enjoyable environment. Above all, it is extremely exciting to give our dancers the opportunity to dance on stage again. After an incredibly challenging year which saw the lights dim on many creative outlets, what is clear to see in this performance, is that our students light's are as bright as ever for their craft. From hours of zoom lessons in limited spaces, it is a true joy to see their wings take flight again. Despite challenging times, our department continues to gather momentum, this year with the introduction of Dance GCSE for our pupils. We are all excited to see this continue to grow. My thanks must go to the Facilities staff and several members of the Creative Arts Faculty for their wonderful support in making this evening happen. Thank you also to Wizard Video Productions Ltd for filming this evening's production meaning we can still the share our magic with audiences. Thank you also to the pupils for their passion, enthusiasm and excellent choreography, and the parents and staff who ensured this evening's Gala ran smoothly. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement of the pupils to express themselves through Dance. The magic they create on stage will forever be a constant source of inspiration. I hope you enjoy the performance and I am so looking forward to welcoming you back to the Dobson as soon as we can.
