PREP  

Half prep: 4.45pm – 5.15pm Full prep: 4.45pm – 5.45pm

In Middle School, we offer an after school homework time at the end of every school day. Pupils may stay for either half prep (30 minutes) or full prep (1 hour). Half prep is specifically for Year 3 and Year 4 children, who can also stay for up to 1 hour (the second half of which will be spent carrying out quiet structured activities). Half Prep (Year 3 and Year 4) will normally be held in the Middle School building and children will be collected from there. Parents may wait outside and we will bring the children to the main entrance of the building. If pupils are staying for prep, they need to tell form tutors in the morning. If your child has signed into prep at morning registration and you wish to take them home at 4.30pm, please inform the office so the register can be changed. For those staying for half prep, please collect your child from the dining room at 5.15pm. For those staying for full prep, please collect them from the dining hall at 5.45pm. Pupils who have not been collected at this time will be led back to the main school hall where they will be checked off as they are collected. We would request that you avoid taking your child out of prep outside of these times without advance notice as it can be disruptive to other pupils.

PREP DIARY Each child will be given a diary to record homework, reading or messages. These diaries also contain important information about the curriculum. There will be a charge for a replacement diary should these be lost during the year. The following table shows the prep schedule for each year group to outline the expectation for children.
