This app will help you learn languages with a selection of games in the language you have chosen. It is a great way to revise and it also makes learning fun! There are a lot of different games to play, all you have to do is create an account and enjoy! It is free to download (using a code given by your specific language teacher).

ExplainEDU

This is an easy-to-use design and screen casting app. It has an interactive whiteboard that lets you annotate, animate, narrate, import and export almost anything to and from almost anywhere. You can also get the Explain Everything app which is a whiteboard app for presentations and tutorials.

‘Explain EDU’ is £13.99 for the full version. The ‘Explain Everything’ full version is £6.49.

Popplet

Popplet mind maps can be used in classroom or at home. It helps students learn by using mind maps to capture key facts, thoughts, and images and is a great tool for revision. The full version is £4.99.

Kahoot

Kahoot is a really fun quiz app where you can access quizzes and even create them. You can also play classroom games with your friends online with this easy to play app (with the teacher’s permission of course!). It makes learning fun and easy when you are preparing for exams, it covers all subjects. It is a free app.

Memrise

Learn a language ‘on the go’ with this iOS and android app, continue learning even without Wi-Fi, with an offline mode to keep going in those hard to reach places. This app is used to learn new languages and to revise, with multiple choice quizzes. It has any language from French to Slovenian. It is a bit like Kahoot, except it is specifically for learning languages. It is a free app.

Duolingo

Duolingo is a language-learning platform designed to feel like a game. You will be tested on your knowledge of the language and so it definitely helps if you already have some knowledge of the language before using this app. Duolingo is a free app.

Quizzlet

Quizlet is a mobile and web-based study application that allows students to study information via learning tools and games. Quizlet offers five study modes and two games to help you learn. Great for revision. This is a free app.

BookCreator Book creator is a simple tool for creating awesome digital books. It combines text, images, audio and video to create interactive stories, digital portfolios, research journals etc. The full version is ÂŁ4.99.

Skitch

Skitch is an app that tries to make information as easy to relay virtually as it is in real life, by making it easy to capture screenshots and annotate them.
