There are three main categories of dictionary; 'Firsts' for ages 4-8; Illustrated for ages 6-10; and more serious dictionaries for age 9-12. Our dictionary is truly in the middle age category and the competition is narrower, however it competes for shelf space with the all the others in the field. It is one of only two that includes a thesarurus. We have gone for a conventional bold look with special effects (gold foil) to make it attractive and have an authoritative feel. It is clearly 'illustrated' as well as photographic. Above all it is great value at an accessible price. There is definitely room for a new (completely revised) entry into the marketplace.
