WELCOME TO RAHNILE HOTEL! RahNile Hotel welcomes you to the beautiful city of Bahir Dar. The name RahNile is carefully selected and is derived from two special words RAH and NILE, which has meaning in three different languages. 1) ‘Rahn’ in Geez, the origin of all Ethiopian languages, means ‘Comfort and Relaxation.’ 2) ‘Rah’ means in English language, an exclamation of encouragement, which we consider as representing our great river, Nile. 3) ‘Reha’ in Arabic language means enjoyment.” In general, the name RahNile refers to our proximity to the source of River Nile and our commitment to our guests’ comfort and relaxation. The hotel is conveniently located about 8 kilometers from the airport and will be an ideal place for the city tour or a tour on lake Tana, the source of River Nile.

BLUE NILE You can visit Blue Nile Falls, locally known as Tisisat (smoking water) and as one of the longest rivers in the world. You can also visit a Weyto Village nearby, where you will see the production of the famous Papyrus boats known as Tankwas.
LAKE TANA Lake Tana is the largest lake in Ethiopia and along with its 37 islands scattered along the surface, features several churches and monasteries with a history dating back a thousand years. A boat trip on Lake Tana is one of the most pleasant excursions for visitors where they get a chance to visit the different islands and peninsulas of Lake Tana.
LALIBELA Lalibela is a town in northern Ethiopia that is famous for its monolithic rock-hewn churches. Lalibela is one of Ethiopia’s holiest cities, second only to Axum, and is a center of pilgrimage for much of the country.
