Forest School • Forest school helps us develop important qualities such as independence, confidence, teamwork, cooperation and managing risk • We learn how to use real tools in a safe and encouraging environment as well as develop other skills including tying knots, creating shelters and understanding more about the wildlife and plants in our Forest School area. • We also learn to appreciate the wonders of the outdoor world and appreciate the changing seasons as well as the variable weather!
Growth Mindset Developing a stronger mind and can-do attitude Each year we focus on growth mindset words which underpin everything that we do. This year our Pre – Prep words are, Perseverance, Flexibility, Risk Taking, Team Work, Staying focused, Independence and kindness. Each week we have Celebration assembly and we award one child with a Growth Mindset certificate that recognises these skills and we have another award for a weekly superstar.
Team work
We learn from our mistakes in a nurturing environment.

“When you asked me what I did in school today and I say, ‘I just played.’ Please don’t misunderstand me. For you see, I am learning as I play. I am learning to enjoy and be successful in my work. Today I am a child and my work is play.”
