The i2 curriculum was developed through partnerships with world class STEM organizations such as MIT, the Museum of Science in Boston and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories. Faculty are excellent science teachers from the United States and Jordan, assisted by university and college students as well as King’s Academy graduates. All i2 course instruction is in English, so participants need to have a solid knowledge of the language. Below is a list of the courses on offer:
“I came back this year because i2 camp is really fun and challenging, and you get to meet a lot of people. Your knowledge really expands. I want to come back again next year too!” Joud Banna, Jeddah

Arabic Summer
English Foundations
Arabic language instruction at King’s Academy ranks among the region’s best and most comprehensive. Arabic Summer caters to different levels of backgrounds and abilities in the Arabic language and includes both boarding and day options. Specific focus is directed at teaching functional Arabic and skills essential for reading, writing and holding conversations.
King’s offers English as a Second Language instruction for levels from beginning to advanced. Classes are designed to provide practice in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students are carefully tested upon arrival to ensure proper level placement and they are monitored throughout the program to ensure that they remain at the appropriate level of instruction.
Students are grouped in small classes according to ability, and therefore receive significant individual attention from teachers. Special activities, excursions and class trips to educational and cultural sites give students the opportunity to explore places of cultural and historical significance and to practice and strengthen English proficiency in different environments.
Students spend five hours each day in a combination of academic class work and cultural activities. There are separate classes for heritage and non-heritage speakers, as well as an Arabic A-level review class.
My Arabic has improved inside and outside the classroom, by practicing colloquial with my friends a lot. It’s been a tremendous experience and dorm life here is excellent. Interacting with different cultures has been great. You essentially build a family.
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at King’s Academy. It’s a beautiful campus with so many great teachers who work hard to ensure all students improve their communication skills. Shang Xingfang, (Mother)
Charles Shearon, Chicago
Math Foundations Students enjoy exploring math in a classroom environment that encourages discovery and modern learning strategies. The Math Foundations courses provide a thorough review of various levels of mathematics, including pre-algebra, algebra and geometry. Students are tested upon arrival to ensure proper placement in one of the two offered math courses.
Daily Sports and Recreation Camp Local boys and girls ages six to 12 are invited to participate in the daily sports program, which offers a fun, active and safe environment in which to improve their sports skills, make friends and enjoy summer vacation. Activities include football, basketball, swimming, tennis, art and much more. With its modern campus and excellent sports facilities, King’s Academy is the ideal location for athletic training. The Academy’s expansive grounds include three football fields, six tennis courts, a multi-purpose indoor court, three outdoor basketball courts and a semi-Olympic indoor swimming pool. The campus also includes an extensive cross country track that can be used for mountain biking. Plenty of cold water is provided throughout the day, and campers are invited to eat lunch in the school dining hall. An on-campus health center is fully staffed to provide athletic training and medical care in the case of injury or illness. Buses provide optional daily transportation from Amman.
“My daughters absolutely loved it. They were asking to come back next summer before their current session was even over. They had a blast!” Dana Oumeish, (Mother)
