From other King’s campuses to the Guy’s Campus From the Strand Campus On foot 35 minute walk: Walk down Surrey Street into Temple Place, along Victoria Embankment and cross Blackfriars Bridge. Walk along Blackfriars Road and turn left into Southwark Street, crossing Southwark Bridge Road. Shortly after joining Borough High Street, turn right into St Thomas Street. By bus From TEMPLE take the District or Circle line to MONUMENT, then catch the 35, 40, 47, or 149 bus to LONDON BRIDGE. By tube From TEMPLE take the District line to WESTMINSTER, and then take the Jubilee line to LONDON BRIDGE. By boat – commuter river service From Savoy or Blackfriars Pier, get off at London Bridge City Pier.

From King’s Denmark Hill Campus By bus From Denmark Hill station take the 40 bus. By train From DENMARK HILL take the Southeastern service towards LONDON BRIDGE. From the Waterloo Campus On foot From the Franklin-Wilkins Building on Stamford Street walk away from the Imax Cinema towards Blackfriars Bridge. Cross Blackfriars Road and walk down Southwark Street, crossing Southwark Bridge Road. Shortly after joining Borough High Street, turn right into St Thomas Street. By bus Take the 381 bus from Stamford Street to London Bridge. By tube From WATERLOO take Jubilee line to LONDON BRIDGE.

Parking There is a limited pay and display car park at the Guy’s Campus, and Western Street, St Thomas Street and Snowsfield. Bicycle stands: outside the Hodgkin Building.

From St Thomas’ Campus On foot From St Thomas’ Hospital turn left into Lambeth Palace Road, then right into Westminster Bridge Road. Take the second left into Baylis Road. Cross Waterloo Road and continue down The Cut. Cross Blackfriars Road and continue along Union Street. Cross Southwark Bridge Street and take the third left into Borough High Street. Turn right into St Thomas Street. By bus Take the 77, 507 to Waterloo and then take the 381. By tube Cross Westminster Bridge to WESTMINSTER station, then take the Jubilee line to LONDON BRIDGE.

The Defence Studies Department provides academic support to the UK Joint Services Command and Staff College (JSCSC) which is based at Shrivenham, Wiltshire. The College is situated off the A420 between Oxford and Swindon; the nearest rail station is Swindon.

Henriette Raphael Reception 020 7848 6000 New Hunt’s House Reception 020 7848 6004 Close to London Bridge, on the south bank of the Thames about 20 minute’s walk from Waterloo, is the Guy’s Campus, adjacent to Guy’s Hospital. Much of this campus has been recently remodelled and refurbished, with new students’ union facilities and a major new building, New Hunt’s House,

providing state-of-the-art lecture, teaching, library, laboratory and research facilities. This campus is located in an increasingly fashionable area, with many bars, restaurants, markets and creative businesses springing up locally. Nearby are Southwark Cathedral, Tate Modern, City Hall, Hay’s Galleria and Borough Market, one of the oldest wholesale fruit and vegetable markets.
