English Plus Business and Finance

TOEFL iBT Preparation Course

This, our most popular course, is designed to increase your fluency in as short a time as possible, and to introduce a range of specialist subjects taught in Special Interest Groups.

This course is ideal for students who would like to improve their English skills for use in a wide range of business and financial contexts. It combines General English with specialist Business and Finance-related topics and the option to prepare for the Cambridge ICFE and BEC examinations.

This course will prepare you thoroughly for the TOEFL iBT exam. Exam practice and technique are vital parts of the course. TOEFL is recognised by over 7,500 colleges, universities and employers.

Intensive 25+ This course is for more mature students, with fellow students in class guaranteed to be aged 25+. There are Special Interest Groups in business or culture, plus a dedicated activities calendar and premium accommodation.

Compact Course A broad General English course which is specifically designed to improve your overall language skills whilst giving plenty of free time for work or fun.

Graduate Preparation Graduate Preparation Programme This course is ideal if you have already completed an undergraduate degree and want to study at Masters level in the UK. It provides intensive academic study skills and IELTS preparation as well as dedicated university counselling.

English Plus Entrepreneurship This course is for students who want to combine English with information about US entrepreneurial culture. It combines general and business English with lectures from local entrepreneurs and visits to local companies and universities.

English Plus Law This course is ideal for students who would like to improve their English skills for use in a variety of legal contexts. It combines General English with specialist law-related topics and the option to prepare for the ILEC exam.

English Plus Film This course is for students who want to combine English with the study of film. It also includes practical filmmaking skills.

English Plus Art and Design This course is for students who are accomplished at art and need to improve their English while preparing a portfolio of artwork.

English Plus British Culture and History

This course is perfect for students who want to combine language development with an immersive experience of British culture. The course includes a focus on the arts, literature, philosophy, British history and geography.

Vacation TOEFL This course has 20 lessons per week of TOEFL preparation classes. It will provide fluency in all main areas of English while developing your exam technique and preparing you for the TOEFL exam.

IELTS Preparation Course This intensive course of 28 lessons per week is intended to develop your general language skills while also providing specialist preparation for the IELTS exam.

Super Intensive IELTS This full-time, very intensive course concentrates 100% on IELTS preparation and is designed to prepare you thoroughly for the exam in as short a time as possible.

Cambridge English Exam Courses These courses are specifically designed to prepare you thoroughly for all papers in the Cambridge English exams — the best known and respected formal qualifications in English. You’ll focus on exam techniques and practice.

Vacation Courses (USA only) Vacation Course A general English course combining 20 lessons of English with optional activities and excursions. Runs throughout the year with start dates every Monday.

For all student residences room retention is charged at the full rate.
