“
I came here in the first place just to improve my English, and that’s why I only had morning classes, but then I realised I might need a challenge and that it would be good to have a certificate after 6 months. I want to become a pilot for Lufthansa, so I’m right in the process of application. I just have to pass the second interview. I’m happy with my experience, I can feel the difference, especially in listening and speaking. I think personally the most useful thing was learning how to write different texts. I knew how to write an essay, but writing information sheets, other types of writing was really useful.

Matthias Wisstokat from Germany
To support the other information their teacher collects, they are given a regular one-to-one tutorial, in which they will discuss their learning and other aspects of the course with the teacher. Students are also be given a number of opportunities to complete mock examinations, under simulated exam conditions. The results of these mock exams will be used to help them improve in specific areas.
“
I’m learning English because I know it will be an important language for my career later, and also because next year I’m going to study business management in Belgium and languages are very important for the normal course. I want to do a Masters abroad in 3 years, in an English-speaking country. I like the classes at Kings, I think that the teachers are very good — they have different teaching style from in Belgium, sometimes we watch movies, documentaries, it’s not only studying. I don’t know how to say, but I guess it’s interactive.
