Christ Church, Oxford The Intensive Academic English course takes place at Christ Church, located in the heart of the city and one of the University of Oxford’s most famous and prestigious colleges. Founded in 1524, Christ Church has been home to 13 British Prime Ministers. As you eat in the Great Hall (replicated in the Harry Potter films) and walk among the beautiful quads, you will be a part of an academic tradition going back hundreds of years.

This prestigious course is designed to prepare students for the English-speaking academic world. It is aimed at learners who are considering a degree course in an English-speaking university. The course comprises 22.5 hours of group tuition in English for Academic Purposes, and 4.5 hours of lectures per week on topics such as economics, music, art, literature and global issues. It includes academic writing, reading, listening and speaking, and study skills including critical thinking.
