KINGS OF INDIGO The Kings of Indigo make quality denims, tops and accessories inspired by American classics, designed with a Japanese eye for detail and manufactured with the sustainable technology of today.

NATURAL INDIGO DYE Craftsmanship meets innovation in the Kings new Natural Indigo products. Natural indigo dye & print techniques applied by hand as well as modern day laser designs are used to create unique patterns for our apparel and jeans.

WOODBLOCK PRINTING A new technique in the K.O.I collection is the art of woodblockprinting, the authentic way of applying a print. A mud resist solution is made fresh out of natural products such as gum and black soil, and the woodblocks are dipped in this solution before being pressed on to the fabric.

Once applied, a fine sand is spread over the fabric to make it hold and let it dry. Once the printing is done, the sand is dusted off.

Depending on the fabric the items are soaked in water for 1-3 days and then dipped several times into a natural indigo solution. The mud resist solution leaves the fabric clean where pressed by the woodblock.

As a result you have a beautiful natural indigo dyed piece, with an original Kings of Indigo pattern.

TRIPLE-R: RECYCLE, REPAIR, RE-USE Motivating customers to repair their jeans by providing a special repair kit and organizing repair events, are an important part of the K.O.I philosophy. But what to do when repairing is no longer an option? K.O.I brings some inspiration. Why not recycle them into a quilted blanket and pillow covers, like K.O.I friend Rozemarijn Brancovich from toile de chine created? She´s inspired by the old Japanese "boro" technique while making these crafty patchwork pieces of art. This way your favorite blues will last forever!

KINGS OF LAUNDRY Kings of Laundry is a special selection of denims with extra focus on innovation in wash and finish. The Kings use special laserbeams to distress the jeans and ozone to lighten the denim in order to save lots of water and chemicals. All Kings of Laundry jeans can be recognized by the Kings of Laundry mascotte robot.

KINGS OF SHUTTLE LOOM Kings of Indigo only uses the very best organic and recycled selvage fabrics from Italy and Japan for its Kings of Shuttle loom premium range. Selvage is slowly woven on authentic shuttle loom machines with a narrow width of 29'' for the best quality. The machines are slighly trembling, resulting in an uneveness in the fabric which makes each piece a one of a kind and thus extra special.

All Kings of Shuttle loom products are delivered in a unique kraft envelope with the signature Kings of Shuttle loom print, also found on the pocket flasher.

KINGS OF SHUTTLE LOOM Every Kings of Shuttle loom pair has a special designed leather patch.

BABY K.O.I'S Exclusively for Princes and Princesses of Indigo. Quality denims in mini sizes from the Kings of Indigo. Made exactly the same way as the adult K.O.I jeans. Same quality abrics, same detailing. Available for the ages 6 months to 4 years.

Each piece will be delivered in a carton gift box, re-usable as a mobile for over the crib.
